Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product structured for generating resource identification strings to avoid electronic misreads. In some embodiments, the system is structured for generating a new technology resource string of characters, comparing the new string to existing technology resource strings, and determining whether the new string is the same as an existing string. The system is also structured for, in response to determining it is not, for each existing string, pairing characters of the strings and determining whether the strings have at least a threshold number of matching character pairs; if there are, for at least one of the existing strings, determining whether characters of the non-matching pairs are commonly misread characters and determining whether there are a threshold combination of matching/commonly misread pairs; and if there are, discard the new string and generate a second new technology resource string.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products for capturing elements of a negotiable instrument and generating a thumbnail image of the negotiable instrument for use in image recreation. In some embodiments, a method is provided that includes: (a) receiving an image of the negotiable instrument, wherein the image of the negotiable instrument comprises one or more elements that are used for processing the negotiable instrument; (b) capturing, using the image capture device, images of one or more elements of the negotiable instrument; (c) generating a thumbnail image of the negotiable instrument based at least partially on an image of the negotiable instrument; and (d) storing the images of the one or more elements of the negotiable instrument and the thumbnail image of the negotiable instrument in the database.

Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for providing recreated image documents using templates or generic control documents. In this way, an entity may store limited amounts of image data from an original document and subsequently recreate the document image using document templates. As such, the invention may compile templates for image documents. Upon receiving a document from a transaction for storage, the system may store the metadata associated with that document, instead of storing the entire document as a high resolution image file. Using the template, in combination with the metadata, the system may recreate the image as a system generated image for user recall and reconciliation.

In this way, an entity may store limited amounts of image data from an original document and subsequently recreate the document image using image lift data. As such, the invention may receive an image document for storage. Upon receiving a document from a transaction for storage, the system may store metadata associated with that document, instead of storing the entire document as a high resolution image file. Furthermore, the system may determine specific unique elements of the document (such as signatures or the like) to capture as an image file. This allows the unique element to be lifted as image data. Using the lifted image data, in combination with the metadata, the system may recreate the image as a system generated image for user recall and reconciliation.

Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products that provide for a system to receive information related to check transaction based on the location of the user. In one embodiment of the invention, the computer-implemented method determines a location of a check transaction and stores the location in an archive in association with the check transaction. The method then determines a location of a user and determines a list of check transactions associated with the location of the user. In some embodiments, the method provides the list of check transactions to the user. The method may also provide offers or recommendations to the user, such as an offer to establish a direct transfer instead of using a check in the future. The user and/or the provider of the method may also broaden or narrow the search results based on characteristics of the transaction.

Bank float is assigned using a dual source bank float system by first determining which of a plurality of checks will be processed via a paper route and which will be processed via an image route. For the checks that will be processed via the paper route, a set of rules will be determined. For the checks that will be processed via the image route, a different set of rules will be determined. A bank float is applied to the paper checks using the paper set of rules and bank float is assigned to the image checks using the image set of rules.
