Methods that can merge storage network protocols and/or system protocols are provided. One method includes assigning a unique identifier to each of a plurality of nodes in a storage network in which at least two nodes of the plurality of nodes implement a different storage protocol. The method further includes utilizing the unique identifier of the at least two nodes of the plurality of nodes to enable the at least two nodes to communicate with each other. Systems and apparatus that can include, perform, and/or implement the methods are also provided.

Merging storage protocols

A method of transmitting an electronic message may include identifying a first bit in a data message to be transmitted. The first bit may have a binary value. The method may also include transmitting, in response to the identifying, a first signal corresponding to the binary value over a second message channel. The method may also include transmitting, in response to the identifying, a second signal corresponding to the inverse of the binary value.

Mitigation of electromagnetic interference in electronic communication

Aspects receive different instances of reception data from different respective wireless communication receivers that include broadcast data packets broadcast from a mobile device, geographic locations of the communication receivers and times of reception of the broadcast data packet by the respective receivers. Each broadcast data packet includes a time of broadcast by the mobile device and a unique identifier of the mobile device. Aspects determine a geographic location of the mobile device at the time of broadcast of the data packets as a function of triangulating to the geographic locations of the different communication receivers; and/or of determining a Doppler shift in frequency transmission data of an instance of reception of a first data packet relative to frequency transmission data of another instance of reception of another, second data packet transmission broadcast at a different time than the first data packet.

Geographic locator responsive to data packet attributes

An optical storage device utilizing quantum silos includes a multiplicity of quantum silos in a substrate. Each silo includes one or more quantum dots and a multiplicity of crystals of an orthogonal shape surrounding a quantum dot. The crystals are positioned in an array at each corner, a set of mirrors are positioned at remaining cells of a perimeter of the array and an orthogonally shaped crystal surrounding a quantum dot is positioned at an interior cell. A set of receivers surrounds each silo and points inwardly towards the perimeter. A storage layer is formed by a matrix of the silos with alternate matrix cells marking a position of a corresponding silo and remaining cells transporting data from the silos. A reading and a writing layer are sandwiched beneath the storage layer and multiple sandwiched layers are stacked to form a storage unit with an igniter layer disposed therebetween.
