Lift communications systems, wall-mounted controls, and methods of using and configuring the same are disclosed. A lift communications system includes one or more lifts, each one of the one or more lifts is movable within a space. The lift communications system further includes a wall-mounted control coupled to a wall of the space. The wall-mounted control is configured to communicatively couple to the one or more lifts via a wireless connection. When the wall-mounted control is communicatively coupled to a lift of the one or more lifts, the wall-mounted control is configured to direct operation of the lift and receive data from the lift.

Lift communications systems comprising wall-mounted displays and methods of using and configuring the same

A person lift system includes a lift unit, a sling bar that is coupled to the lift unit, where the sling bar includes a plurality of attachment points each having coupling sensors and an electronic control unit that is communicatively coupled to the coupling sensors. The person lift system also includes a lifting accessory having a plurality of lifting points that are adapted to be selectively coupled to the plurality of attachment points of the sling bar. The electronic control unit comprises a processor and a computer readable and executable instruction set which, when executed by the processor detects with the coupling sensors whether the lifting accessory is installed in a proper manner and projects an indication when the lifting accessory is installed in the proper manner.

Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for articulating visual inspection devices are provided. For example, a method can include receiving an inspection template by a control system associated with the visual inspection device. The inspection template can include data associated with at least one point of interest in a scene viewable to the visual inspection device. The method can further include generating, by the control system, an articulation path based on the data. The method can also include actuating an electro-mechanical system of the visual inspection device according to the articulation path.

In one embodiment, a borescope system includes a probe to capture images and a display a settings menu, measurements, the images captured by the probe, or any combination thereof. In addition, the borescope system a processor programmed to display a user interface to enable a user to control movement of the probe, adjust settings, navigate menus, make selections, or any combination thereof. The processor is communicatively coupled to the probe, and the display, and is programmed to instruct the borescope to enter a live menu view when an articulation mode is selected from the settings menu. In the live menu view, the processor is programmed to instruct the display to display the images captured by the probe, and to enable a user to control the movement of the probe and adjust articulation sensitivity of the probe while viewing the images on the display.

A method of operating an inspection device includes collecting a plurality of successive image frames using an image sensor of the inspection device and displaying the plurality of successive image frames on a display of the inspection device. The method includes processing, via a processor of the inspection device, each image frame of the plurality of successive image frames by determining a motion parameter of each respective image frame and adding each respective image frame to a frame buffer when the respective image frame is motion free. The method includes receiving a control signal from a user interface of the inspection device requesting an image frame output. The method further includes determining, via the processor of the inspection device, a noise-reduced image frame from the frame buffer in response to the control signal and outputting the noise-reduced image frame in response to the control signal.

A system includes a portable non-destructive testing (NDT) device. The NDT device includes a processor configured to receive imaging data captured via a sensor of the NDT device, cause a display of the NDT device to display an image to be analyzed based on the imaging data, and cause the display to display a graphical user interface (GUI). The GUI includes a first plurality of user-selectable objects. Each of the first plurality of user-selectable objects is configured to activate one or more monitoring functions of the NDT device. The processor is also configured to cause the display to display at least a first set of the first plurality of user-selectable objects. The first set of the first plurality of user-selectable objects is configured to substantially overlay the image. The first set of the first plurality of user-selectable objects is displayed based at least in part on an inspection state of the NDT device.

Systems and methods for providing monitoring state-based selectable buttons to non-destructive testing devices

A system includes an image capture device configured to capture an image of at least a portion of an industrial device or machinery. The system also includes a display configured to display the image. The system further includes a processor communicatively coupled to the image capture device and the display and configured to cause the display to display a graphical user interface (GUI) on the display, wherein the GUI comprises a first indicator located in user selectable first portion of the display and a window configured to display a portion of the image corresponding to a location of the first indicator, wherein the processor is configured to cause the first indicator to move to a second portion of the display in response to receiving an indication of a user interaction with the window.

A non-transitory, computer-readable medium includes computer-executable code having instructions. The instructions are configured to receive data relating to an environment, construct an image of the environment based on the received data, and display the image on a touch-screen device. The instructions are also configured to receive a control gesture via the touch-screen device and interpret the control gesture. Further, the instructions are configured to control an articulating system coupled to the device to control an orientation of a sensor configured to collect the data, control a mode of operation of the sensor, or any combination thereof based on the interpretation of the control gesture.

The present disclosure describes an embodiment that provides a tangible, non-transitory, computer-readable medium storing instructions executable by a processor of an endoscope. The instructions include instructions to capture, using an imager in the endoscope, a first plurality of images at a first brightness level while a live video based at least in part on the first plurality of images is displayed, generate, using the processor, a baseline image by averaging or summing the first plurality of images, capture, using the imager, a second plurality of images at a plurality of brightness levels, in which the plurality of brightness levels are different from the first brightness level, and generate, using the processor, a high dynamic range image based at least in part on the baseline image and the second plurality of images, in which the high dynamic range image comprises more unsaturated pixels than the baseline image.

Remote visual inspection image capture system and method

A method and device for automatically identifying a point of interest (e.g., the deepest or highest point) on the surface of an anomaly on a viewed object using a video inspection device is disclosed. The video inspection device obtains and displays an image of the surface of the viewed object. A reference surface is determined along with a region of interest that includes a plurality of points on the surface of the anomaly. The video inspection device determines a depth or height for each of the plurality of points on the surface of the anomaly in the region of interest. The point on the surface of the anomaly (e.g., having the greatest depth or height) is identified as the point of interest. A profile of the object surface at the point of interest is then determined.

Method and device for automatically identifying a point of interest on the surface of an anomaly

This disclosure describes embodiments of systems and methods for performing inspections of an asset. The systems can include an inspection apparatus that executes a menu directed inspection (MDI) protocol to direct an inspector that performs the inspection. The MDI protocol includes, in one example, reference material that is associated with areas of the asset that the inspector will inspect. This reference material can include data and information (e.g., technical manuals, operating manuals, images, etc.). In one embodiment, the method includes one or more steps for building an inspection tree with inspection points that correspond to the inspection areas on the asset. The method can also comprise steps for assigning or associating the reference material to inspection points, which is then available to the inspector on the inspection apparatus during execution of the MDI protocol.
