A planar flexible electrode arrangement for a dielectric barrier plasma discharge has a central region () and an edge region () and at least one planar electrode () to which a high-voltage potential can be applied and which is embedded in a planar dielectric () that forms an upper face () and a contact face (), wherein the planar dielectric (), at least in the edge region (), has the shape of a spiral-shaped wound-up strip () and the at least one electrode () is formed by at least one electrical conductor () that extends in the longitudinal direction of the wound-up strip () and that opens into an end face of the strip (), which conductor () is surrounded, with the sole exception of the end face of the strip (), by the dielectric of the strip () and, in the region of the end face of the strip (), is electrically insulated from the surroundings by a cover element (). The electrode arrangement can be adapted easily, and without tools, in its bearing surface to the size of the area of a surface that is to be treated, by virtue of the fact that material recesses () are present across the width of the strip (), and that the material of the dielectric () and of the at least one conductor () is chosen such that the strip (), together with the at least one conductor (), can be torn off across its width along the material recesses ().

Planar flexible electrode arrangement for a dielectric barrier plasma discharge

The invention relates to a flat flexible coating arrangement comprising a coating surface () for placing on a body region of a living being and at least one electrode (') arranged above the coating surface (), and a dielectric () containing the at least one electrode (&#x2032;), the at least one electrode (&#x2032;) comprising a supply line for an AC high voltage in order to form a dielectrically impeded plasma. Said arrangement enables fusion processes over the course of the plasma treatment and optionally wound healing without removing the coating arrangement from the body region by means of at least one built-in sensor () for determining at least one parameter of the body region.

Flat flexible coating arrangement

The invention relates to an electrode array for a dielectrically impeded plasma treatment of a surface of a body, comprising at least one flexible flat electrode () and one dielectric () consisting of a flat flexible first material which protects the electrode () from the surface to be treated, with a layer () impeding a direct current flow. The dielectric () can lie on the surface to be treated, above a structure () with projections (), air spaces () being formed between the projections () for the creation of the plasma, which have a side open towards the surface to be treated, and a bottom-side closure as a result of the layer () impeding the direct current flow. The structure () comprises a plurality of spacer elements () consisting of a second material that has less flexibility than the first material, and the projections () of the structure () are partially or completely formed by the spacer elements ().

Electrode array for a dielectrically impeded plasma treatment

A plasma treatment unit having a high-voltage stage (), arranged in a housing, for generating high-voltage signals suitable for the generation of a plasma, and having a head part () which is connectable to the high-voltage stage () and in which there is situated an electrode arrangement () shielded by a dielectric (), is suitable for plasma treatments in particular in the body interior by virtue of the fact that the head part () has an elongate transition piece () which is attachable to the housing and on that end of which which is not connectable to the housing there is arranged a treatment head ('), the dimensions of which perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the transition piece () greatly exceed the dimensions of the transition piece (), and that, in the treatment head (&#x2032;), the electrode arrangement () forms a spatially closed flexible sheath () around a resiliently elastic core () and is covered at its outer lateral surface by a thin layer () of the flexible dielectric (), such that the treatment head (&#x2032;) can, as it is inserted into a body interior, assume the shape of the surrounding tissue in the body interior.

Plasma treatment unit

The invention relates to a plasma treatment device for carrying out a dielectric barrier plasma discharge, comprising an electrode unit (), which has a treatment side (), and comprising a supply unit (), to which the electrode unit () can be mechanically connected and by means of which the electrode unit can be brought into electrical contact in order to be supplied with a supply voltage necessary for the plasma generation, wherein the electrode unit () has an electrode arrangement, which is shielded by means of a planar dielectric () at least toward the treatment side (), enables the use of different electrode units () with the same supply unit () in that the electrode unit () has a coding and the supply unit () has an identifying device for the coding and the identifying device is connected to a control device, which controls the supply voltage for the plasma generation in accordance with the identified coding.

Plasma treatment device

A flat pad structure, designed to generate a dielectric barrier discharge plasma on a contact side () of said pad structure, comprises a flat electrode arrangement () which is embedded in a flat dielectric (), can be supplied with high-voltage signals and is shielded on all sides against an unimpeded current flow; said pad structure has better stability and can be better adapted to elongate treatment areas because a width of the structure extends in a longitudinal direction (L) and in the longitudinal direction (L) the structure has a plurality of identically structured portions (), each with a dielectric portion in the width of the pad structure and each with at least one electrode portion; the electrode portions of said portions () adjoin one another in the longitudinal direction (L) and form an electrode arrangement () extending over the entire length such that, in order to reduce the size of the contact surface in the longitudinal direction (L), at least one portion () can be separated from an adjacent portion () at a predetermined separation line () extending transverse to the longitudinal direction (L) and such that in the remaining portion () the predetermined separation line () is covered by an insulating component ().

Flat pad structure

A plasma-treatment instrument for treating a surface with a dielectric-barrier plasma field generated between an electrode and the surface has a high a.c. voltage supplied to the electrode by a controller. The electrode forms with a dielectric surrounding the electrode a cylindrical roller that is rotatably supported in a grip housing. The plasma-treatment instrument has a shell surface and is capable of being rolled along the surface. The plasma-treatment allows an efficient and safe treatment of the surface by virtue of the fact that the electrode includes at least two partial electrodes arranged alongside one another at equal intervals from the shell surface and which are insulated from one another by the dielectric. The at least two partial electrodes are connected to different terminals of a source of high a.c. voltage.
