The invention relates to an insulation insert that can be inserted into a plug-in connector housing () of a plug-in connector (), wherein in the insulation insert (), at least one contacting element for electrically contacting a conductor core of a cable () to be connected may be provided, wherein the insulation insert () is provided in one area with a conductive coating, wherein the coated area forms a shielding element () that can be electrically contacted with a shielding braid of the cable () to be connected and at the same time with the plug-in connector housing (), and wherein the insulation insert () and the shielding element () are integrally formed in.

The invention discloses an insulating body () which is provided for receiving and/or electrically contacting at least one conductor of a cable to be connected or for fitting onto a printed circuit board, the insulating body () being adapted to be introduced into a dedicated chamber of a plug connector housing and having at least one recess () for at least one contact element () which can be connected to the individual conductor of the cable to be connected or to a conductor track of the printed circuit board, and including a shielding element () by which the contact element is electromagnetically shielded, the insulating body () being formed of at least one first component () and one second component (), the first component () containing a doping so that the surface of the first component () can be provided with a conducting coating () by an electroplating process, the shielding element () being formed from the conducting coating of the first component ().

The invention relates to an insulation body of a plug-in connector that consists of a plug body (), in which contact elements () are provided, and which consists of a connection body (), which in turn has connection elements () that can be electrically connected to conductor tracks of a circuit board and/or to individual wires of a multi-wired cable to be connected, wherein the plug body () and the connection body () can be mated together, as a result of which the contact elements () can be electrically contacted with the connection elements () of the connection body ().

A round plug-in connector has a connection side configured for contacting circuit boards. For transmitting several independent, differential signals, the plug-in connector includes electric contacts arranged in pairs, with each of four signal pairs being insulated from each other by a cruciform structure, and being arranged inside an electrically non-conductive round body surrounding the cruciform structure. An electrically conductive screen cross is surrounded by a cruciform contact carrier with accepting grooves in diagonally embodied internal edges for holding the electric contacts. The round body is pushed over the cruciform arrangement, and is surrounded by an electrically conductive housing. Connection ends of the electric contacts that are intended to be aligned precisely on a circuit board, via a positioning aid, are attached to the round body. The positioning aid includes respective bore holes for the connection ends of the electric contacts, which coincide with soldered bore holes on the circuit board.

The invention relates to an insulation body that can be inserted into a housing () of a plug-in connector (), which is formed from a connecting portion () and a contacting portion (), wherein in the contacting portion (), contacting means () are provided and the connecting portion () is provided with recesses (), in which individual conductors of a multi-core cable can be clamped, wherein the connecting portion () and the contacting portion () can be joined together, so that the individual conductors of the multi-core cable can be electrically contacted by means of the individual contacting means (). According to the invention, the connecting portion () includes means that orientate the individual conductors along the recesses () of the connecting portion () in such a way that each of the conductors is pushed into the respective recesses and the direction of the conductor changes along the recesses.

The invention relates to an insulation body of a plug-in connector, which comprises connection elements () that can be electrically connected to conductor tracks of a circuit board and/or to individual wires of a multi-wired cable to be connected, wherein the connection elements () can be produced using MID technology.

For the transmission of high-frequency signals &#x3e;2.5 GHz or 5 Gbps by means of a separable plug connection, the invention proposes a symmetrically shaped electric contact (') that features a contact body () with the contact side () with U-shaped spring legs (), as well as a connection end (). Contact domes () that are directed toward one another and feature contact zones () that are narrower than the material thickness of the spring legs () are integrally formed onto both spring legs (). When joining the two electric contacts (&#x2032;) that are mated while they are turned relative to one another by 90 degrees in the mating direction, the contact domes () or their contact zones () of one electric contact (&#x2032;) engage into the contact body () of the other electric contact (&#x2032;) in a paired fashion such that electric signals travel distances with identical transit times on one leg and on the other leg and so-called stub effects, i.e., transit time differences that cause a partial obliteration of certain signal portions, due to different distances in a contact wiring are prevented.
