A digitizer system comprises at least one object incorporating an electronic tag configured for radiating at least one modulated signal and at least one second signal; a digitizer sensor configured for detecting the at least one second signal while the object is positioned on or over the digitizer sensor; and circuitry configured for identifying the object based on modulation of the at least one modulated signal and for determining a position of the object on or over the digitizer based on the detected second signal on a portion of the digitizer sensor.

System and method for multiple object detection on a digitizer system

A detector for providing position detection of objects over a sensor with a first and second set of conductor lines forming a grid with a plurality of junctions there between at which the conductor lines do not contact, includes a signal generator providing a signal to at least one conductor line of the first set of conductor lines, and circuitry detecting output arising from one or both of an electromagnetic stylus and one or more fingers when present. The output arising from each of the one or more fingers is detected from at least one conductor line of the second set of conductor lines in response to the signal provided to the at least one conductor line of the first set of conductor lines. The circuitry detects positions of one or both the electromagnetic stylus and each of the one or more fingers when present responsive to the output detected.

Touch detection for a digitizer

A method for detection on a digitizer sensor, the method comprises simultaneously transmitting orthogonal signals having the same frequency on at least two conductors of a digitizer sensor; sampling a signal on at least one other conductor crossing the at least two conductors, wherein the signal is responsive to capacitive coupling at cross-junctions formed between the at least two conductors and at least one other conductor; decomposing the sampled signal into orthogonal components; and analyzing the orthogonal components to detect user interaction at each cross junction.

There are disclosed systems, methods and processes for the distribution of information, typically digital information that is distributed actively, through broadcast media such as television and radio, displays, such as signage, etc., or passively, through displays such as signage or the like. The information can be captured from broadcasted transmissions, scanned from a display, or obtained by being transmitted to the user, who responded to a broadcast with a transmission to a receiving point during a period synchronized with the broadcast, requesting the information sent to his transmitted address. The captured or obtained information may include coupons or the like, that may be redeemed after being successfully captured or obtained. Redemption may be either on-line, where a transmission of coupon information is transmitted to a call center, that places a product order with a supplier and handles payment details, or off-line, where the user takes to coupon to the retailer, for redemption at the point of sale.

Systems and methods for distributing information through broadcast media

A detector for detecting touches by fingers or like body parts on a sensor comprises at least one sensing conductor, typically a grid of such conductors, extending into the sensor, a source of oscillating electrical energy at a predetermined frequency, and detection circuitry for detecting a capacitive influence on the sensing conductor when said oscillating electrical energy is applied, the capacitive influence being interpreted as a touch. The detector is advantageous in that the same sensing conductors can be used both for touch sensing and for detection of an electromagnetic stylus.

Systems and methods for embedding commercial information into broadcast media

Apparatus for user input to a digital system, comprising a first sensing system for sensing a user interaction of a first type, co-located with a second sensing system for sensing a user interaction of a second type. The first system may detect styluses and like objects using EM radiation and the second system may detect touch pressure.
