The invention relates to a device for manufacturing a granular product by extrusion and cutting, comprising an extruder provided with at least one extrusion die exhibiting an extruder face in which extrusion orifices open, a rotationally driven cutting head comprising at least two cutter blades designed to move past the orifices, characterized in that the blades are at least of two types and are arranged in such a way as to project the said granular product, after cutting, in at least two different projection cones.

The invention relates to a refill of a pulverulent foodstuff that can be dispersed in a liquid medium that has been compacted into a solid form that can be abraded to form a powdered granules, flakes, or chips, and to a process for manufacturing the refills. These refills are used in a device for the on demand preparation of beverages or sauces from water-dispersible foodstuffs. The method of making the beverages or sauces represent another embodiment of the invention. The device includes one or more pressing units that urge one or more solid refills of a water-dispersible foodstuff towards one or more abrading devices so that the refill contacts the abrading device and the abrading device abrades the refill to provide an amount of powdered foodstuff that is collected in a collector and combined with water to provide the beverage.

Water-reconstitutable foodstuff refill for preparing beverages or the like

The invention relates to a method and a device for the on demand preparation of beverages or sauces from water-dispersible foodstuffs. The device includes one or more pressing units that urge one or more solid refills of a water-dispersible foodstuff towards one or more abrading devices so that the refill contacts the abrading device and the abrading device abrades the refill to provide an amount of powdered foodstuff that is collected in a collector and combined with water to provide the beverage. The invention also relates to a refills for use in the device of the invention and a process for manufacturing the refills.

Device for preparing beverages from water-reconstitutable foodstuffs

The present invention relates to a nozzle assembly for dosing liquid while preventing spillage or dripping between the dosing. This nozzle assembly includes a dosing chamber (4) has an inlet (21), a piston housing wherein a piston plunger (5) is disposed, and an outlet (22) communicating with a distribution channel (10), a first one-way valve to open the inlet (21) when the dosing chamber (4) is being filled and to close the inlet (21) when a dose is being emptied out from the dosing chamber (4) into the distribution channel. The nozzle assembly furthermore comprises a second one-way valve (3) and a pressure release valve (23) to open a distribution channel outlet (27) when pressurized to a desired pressure. This pressure release valve (23) has an elastic cover (19) tightly fitted around the distribution channel outlet (27) and a distribution chamber having one or more needles (13) through which the liquid is dosed. The invention also relates to a process for dosing of a liquid while preventing dripping between the doses.

A tamper-evident device for application to a container closure cap has a ring element which surrounds an insert panel element. The insert panel element, which is centrally disposed with respect to the ring element, has an edge displaced from and surrounded by an edge of the ring element and is connected to the ring element by at least two lugs. The ring element of the device is bonded to an outer surface of a container closure cap which has a centrally positioned portion which is elastically deformable under the effects of changes in pressure so that when positioned on a rigid container which has an interior under a partial vacuum and upon opening and pressurization of the container, the deformable membrane lifts the insert panel element to break lugs connecting the ring and insert elements.

A nozzle for depositing a layer of fluid mass has a coupling defining a nozzle entry passage, a body integral with the coupling which extends linearly from the coupling to a curved body portion which extends to a nozzle end which defines an exit slot. The body has a parallelepipedic cross-section shape wherein two opposing sides thereof widen and two opposing sides thereof narrow as the body extends away from the coupling at the apex of the body at the coupling to the nozzle end. The sides of the body which widen define, together with the sides that narrow, the exit slot and terminate tangentially to the horizontally plane in a form of an arc of a circle which has a center at an apex of the body.

Extrusion nozzle

The tightness of sealed packages is monitored by means of a process and an apparatus system which utilize and incorporate a first system section, which includes at least one reservoir and a pressure measuring cell, a second system section, which includes a rigid measuring chamber, and means for adjusting pressure of the system sections via the first system section. The first system section is first pressurized to a predetermined pressure, which may be either above or below atmospheric pressure, and then the first and second system sections are brought into communication for establishing a second pressure for the first and second system sections combined. Major leaks in the sealed packages, absence of a sample in the measuring chamber and leaks in the measuring chamber then may be detected with the aid of the pressure measuring cell. For detecting other than major leaks, the first and second system sections then are isolated and a differential pressure cell detects the pressures of the first and second system sections for a timing sufficient to detect differences in pressure between the first and second system sections for detecting if the package being tested has leaks.
