A cutting guide for spinal osteotomy comprises two polyhedral blocks, each polyhedral block comprising a respective tubular guide member, each tubular guide member extends from a proximal opening to a distal opening and has an axial cavity extending along a longitudinal axis; a connecting bridge which connects the two polyhedral blocks to each other and is adapted to surmount a spinous process of said vertebra; and contact members designed to match a corresponding plurality of points of contact on the patient's vertebra to define a unique coupling configuration of the cutting guide on the patient's vertebra. The two polyhedral blocks each comprise at least a first and a second slotted body, associated in pairs with a respective tubular guide member, arranged one opposite the other with respect to the corresponding tubular guide member associated therewith.

Cutting guide for spinal osteotomy

Various implementations include a polyaxial surgical screw and a device for implanting the screw. The screw comprises: an internally hollow tulip displaying a first open end for accessing inside the tulip, a second end opposite to the first end, and a side wall extending between the first and the second end; and a threaded shank displaying a first end defining the tip of the screw and a second end opposite to the first one displaying a ball joint joined to the second end of the tulip to orient said shank with respect to the tulip itself. The tulip also comprises at least one elongated rod projecting from the side wall and extending from the first end in a direction opposite to the second end.

Various implementations include a surgical screwdriver that comprises a first rotating shaft configured to be rotated about a respective longitudinal axis, a second rotating shaft extending along a respective development axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the first shaft and having a shaped end tip which can be inserted into the head of a screw, and a transmission member interposed between respective first ends of the shafts to transfer the rotation from the first shaft to the second shaft. The transmission member comprises a homokinetic spherical joint.

Various implementations include a surgical screwdriver that comprises a first rotating shaft configured to be rotated about a respective longitudinal axis, a second rotating shaft extending along a respective development axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the first shaft and having a shaped end tip that can be inserted into the head of a screw, and a transmission member interposed between respective first ends of the shafts to transfer the rotation from the first shaft to the second shaft. The transmission member comprises a pair of hemispherical elements, hinged together about a respective junction axis that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the first shaft, and each hemispherical element is in turn hinged to a first end of one of said shafts.

A surgical tool for positioning a surgical device includes a gripping portion; a rod protruding from the gripping portion; and a coupling system. The coupling system comprises an axial retention assembly comprising, at a free end of the rod, two opposite semispherical portions, wherein respective flat surfaces are separated from each other by an axial notch made partially along the rod, and a central clutch movable between a locking position and a disengagement position. In the locking position, the central clutch approaches the free end of the rod and is interposed between the two semispherical portions, preventing reciprocal approach thereof so as to block the two semispherical portions within a seat of said surgical device. In the disengagement position, the central clutch moves away from the free end such that the two semispherical portions can approach to allow the tool to come out of the surgical device.

A cutting guide for spinal osteotomy comprises a main body having a first and a second arm, each provided with a respective through slot. The first and second arm are preferably inclined with respect to each other to substantially form a V shape. The guide also comprises a distal surface and a proximal surface shaped according to the anatomy of the specific patient and a height of each arm is also shaped according to the anatomy of the specific patient.

Various implementations relate to a guide device for spinal surgery, comprising: two guide sleeves extending between a proximal end and a distal end for guiding a surgical intervention on a vertebra of a patient; a plurality of support elements, wherein each support element defines a contact area specifically configured for abutting against a portion of a virtual surface reproducing the vertebra of the patient, in a coupling configuration; and at least one junction element joining the two guide sleeves together. Each guide sleeve comprises a respective auxiliary sleeve extending between a proximal end and a distal end, and the proximal end of the auxiliary sleeve is located in proximity to the proximal end of the respective guide sleeve.

Specific disposable guide device for spinal surgery

A surgical device includes a polyaxial surgical screw that includes an internally hollow tulip. The tulip includes two elongated rods which are parallel and mutually spaced apart, each elongated rod protruding from a side wall of the tulip and extending away from a first end of the tulip in a direction opposite to a second end of the tulip. The rods define a channel in communication with the first end for accessing the interior of the tulip. A locking unit can be reversibly mounted on the polyaxial surgical screw. The locking unit includes a tubular body which has an inner cavity and is adapted to be fitted about the elongated rods during a configuration of use of the surgical device. The tubular body has two mutually opposite protrusions which project into the inner cavity that are configured to face the channel and be mutually interposed.

A disposable guide device for spinal surgery comprises two tubular guide bodies extending along respective main axes between a proximal end and a distal end to guide a surgical operation on a vertebra of a patient, a plurality of support feet projecting laterally relative to each guide body, near said proximal end, each defining a contact area configured to abut on a side of the spinous process or on a lamina or facet or transverse process of the vertebra of the patient, in a mating configuration, at least one junction element extending between the guide bodies, starting from the respective distal ends, in order to space them from each other, wherein the guide bodies are oriented so that the proximal ends are more distant from each other with respect to the distal ends.

Disposable guide device for spinal surgery

A patient-specific navigation guide for use in spinal surgery including a first and a second guide member, both integral with a supporting frame and extending along a respective longitudinal development axis from a proximal opening to a distal opening for guiding surgical instruments on a first vertebra of a patient. The guide also includes contact members designed to match with a corresponding plurality of contact areas on a first and on a second vertebra of the patient to define a single coupling configuration of the patient-specific navigation guide on the patient's vertebrae. The first and second guide members are substantially opposite with respect to a median plane orthogonal to a straight line joining the longitudinal axes of the first and second guide members. The navigation guide also comprises a single additional third guide member that is integral with the frame and is adapted to abut on a second vertebra.
