A passenger support apparatus includes a vehicle seat equipped with an easy-entry unit configured to provide easier passenger ingress and egress to an area behind the vehicle seat. The vehicle seat includes a seat bottom with front and rear portions and a seat back extending from the seat bottom. The easy-entry unit includes the seat back and the rear portion of the seat bottom and pivots about a pivot axis between an occupant use position and an access position. An adjustment drive of a motor vehicle seat is provided, the adjustment drive, having a control pinion. The control pinion, in the event of a collision, is subjected to a torque which acts from the structure of the motor vehicle seat. Overload protection is provided for an adjustment drive of a motor vehicle seat against forces which act in the event of a collision, using a simple device. Rear backrest frame for a rear backrest component of a vehicle seat, with at least one main plate, one left and one right lateral hat-shaped section extending vertically, one upper and one lower hat-shaped section extending in a transverse direction, and the hat-shaped sections are welded to the front surface of the main plate. The rear backrest frame has cushion channels on its lateral edges and its upper and lower edges, for attachment of a cushion and/or cover. In order to enable a secure mounting of the backrest cushion and/or cover and a cost-effective, flexible production with a wide range of possible variants, it is provided that the hat-shaped sections are rectilinear in configuration, the lateral hat-shaped sections are welded to the hat-shaped sections that extend in a transverse direction, and the lateral cushion channels are formed on the lateral hat-shaped sections. Backrest frame for a rear seat of a vehicle and a method for producing the frame

Vehicle seat includes seat frame longitudinally adjustable on an upper rail relative to a lower rail affixed to the chassis. Seat frame is held in place in its longitudinal positions by a longitudinal locking mechanism, releasable by a rail release mechanism. A backrest with a backrest frame is pivotably attached to seat frame, locked in place on seat frame by a stop adjustment mechanism, and, once released by a release lever, can be folded forward from an upright use position to an easy-entry position. Easy-entry manipulation device actuates release lever, a seat cushion adjustable relative to seat frame, with a seat cushion frame, which is shifted forward longitudinally in a coupled adjustment motion when backrest frame is folded forward to easy-entry position. When vehicle seat is in easy-entry position the seat cushion frame can be shifted rearwardly relative to the backrest frame and seat frame.

Seat structure for a motor vehicle seat includes upper rails, which are longitudinally displaceable relative to lower rails mounted fixedly to the motor vehicle that include longitudinal slots, and a seat frame, which includes insertion tabs, which are inserted in the longitudinal slots of the upper tracks. To facilitate a quick and secure assembly at a low cost, the seat frame includes a front and back crossbeam, on which the insertion tabs are present. The insertion tabs each include a notch, which engages an upper rail and fixes it vertically. The crossbeams are fixed longitudinally on the upper rails by formfitting fasteners, and a seat pan is fastened to the crossbeams.

Seat structure for a motor vehicle seat

A motor vehicle seat includes a backrest, a seat cushion and a coupling mechanism movably coupling the seat cushion to the backrest. The backrest is foldable between an erected seating position and a folded sleeping position. The seat cushion is movable between a retracted seating position and an extended sleeping position. The coupling mechanism couples mechanically the seat cushion to the backrest such that the folding of the backrest from the erected seating position to the folded sleeping position causes displacement of the seat cushion from the retracted seating position to the extended sleeping position. In the extended position, the seat cushion is substantially horizontally aligned with the backrest in the folded sleeping position.

A motor vehicle, in particular a small bus or van, has passenger seats selectably fixable to the vehicle floor in different locations by means of releasable locking elements. The vehicle floor includes a plurality of permanently installed electrical outlets associated with a plurality of different seat locations. In this way, electrified passenger seats can be fixed in various locations without the need to pass obstructive electric supply cables over the floor.
