The invention relates to foam materials that are resistant to high temperatures, to the production of same from aromatic polyisocyanates and polyepoxides, and to the use of said foam materials.

Foam materials resistant to high temperatures

A polyurethane foam, polyisocyanurate foam or polyurea foam is obtainable from the reaction of a mixture comprising A) a compound reactive towards isocyanate ('NCO-reactive compound'); B) a blowing agent selected from the group comprising linear, branched or cyclic C1 to C6 hydrocarbons, linear,branched or cyclic C1 to C6 fluorocarbons, N, O, argon and/or CO, where the blowing agent B) is present in the supercritical or near-critical state; C) a polyisocyanate; D) an amphiphilic isocyanate; and E) optionally a surfactant and F) optionally other auxiliaries and additives. The invention further relates to the production of this polyurethane foam, where the blowing agent is emulsified in the isocyanate component containing amphiphilic isocyanate.

The invention relates to a method for producing hydrophilic, aliphatic polyurethane foams. The invention further relates to special compositions for producing polyurethane foams either using the method according to the invention or using the polyurethane foams obtained from the compositions according to the invention, and to the use of the polyurethane foams as a wound dressing, cosmetic item, or incontinence product.

Hydrophilic, aliphatic polyurethane foams

The invention relates to a specific composition comprising A) isocyanate-functional prepolymers obtainable by reaction of A1) aliphatic diisocyanates with A2) di- to hexa-functional polyalkylene oxides having an ethylene oxide content of 50 to 100 mol %, based on the total amount of the oxyalkylene groups present, B) an aqueous polyurethane suspension, an aqueous polyacrylate suspension or aqueous silica sols, especially for production of hydrophilic, aliphatic polyurethane foams. The invention further provides a process for producing a hydrophilic, aliphatic polyurethane foam, based on the inventive composition, a polyurethane foam obtainable by the process and a wound dressing comprising the polyurethane foam.

The present invention relates to two-component coating systems for producing flexible coatings. The coating systems comprise polyurethane prepolymers with allophanate structures and also amino-functional polyaspartic esters as curing agents.

Solvent-containing formulations including NCO-containing prepolymers based on TDI isocyanurate polyisocyanates and diphenylmethane diisocyanates where some prepolymers are prepared using a polyetherdiol containing ethylene oxide blocks and having an ethylene oxide content of from 2 to 18% by weight, based on all the alkylene oxide units. The formulation have an NCO content of 1% to 7% by weight, a solids content of 20% to 70% by weight, a monomeric TDI content of less than 0.2% by weight and a monomeric methylenediphenyl diisocyanate content of less than 2% by weight. The solvent-containing formulations can be prepared in organic solvents by reacting at least one of A) a TDI component comprising TDI isocyanurate polyisocyanates and B) an MDI component comprising diphenylmethane diisocyanates with C) a polyetherdiol. The solvent-containing formulations can be used in moisture-curing coating compositions, adhesive bonds and/or seals with substrates.

Two-component polyurethane compositions containing OH-functional polydimethylsiloxanes

A process for preparing polymers containing polyortho ester groups and optionally NCO groups by reacting A) and B) where A) is a polyortho ester containing at least one isocyanate-reactive group prepared by reacting at least one or more acyclic ortho esters with low molecular weight polyols having a functionality of 4-8 and a number-average molecular weight of 80-500 g/mol and B) is least one polyisocyanate. The polymers obtained from the process can be used to produce coatings, adhesive bonds and/or seals. A process for preparing hydrophobic polyols that includes reacting A) a mixture having an OH content of from 180 to 300 mg KOH/g, a viscosity at 23&#xb0; C. of from 5000 to 20 000 mPas and an OH functionality of from 2.8 to 4.5 including from 5 to 20 wt. % of 3-pentadecadienylphenol, from 5 to 10 wt. % of 3-pentadecadienyl-recorcinol and from 1 to 5 wt. % of 2-methyl 3-pentadecadienylrecorcinol; with B) alkylene oxides (AO) with addition of the AO monomers onto the AO-reactive groups of component A); the ratio of the amounts of A) to B) being from 1:9 to 9:1; where the hydrophobic polyols have an OH number of from 140 to 220 mg KOH/g and a viscosity at 23&#xb0; C. of from 1000 to 4000 mPas.
