An arrangement for electromagnetic shielding of an electronic component attached to a substrate is described. The arrangement comprises an electrically conductive frame which is attached to the substrate in such a way that the frame frames the component. The arrangement further comprises an electrically conductive covering which is attached at least to a portion of a top side of the component, and which is electrically conductively attached at least to a portion of the frame. Furthermore, a method for electromagnetic shielding of the electronic component attached to the substrate and also a computer program product for carrying out the method are described.

Arrangement and method for electromagnetic shielding

A method for discharging a rechargeable battery of a mobile terminal is described, wherein the terminal has a processor system. The method comprises the steps of determining a charge status of the rechargeable battery, comparing the charge status with a threshold value and, if the charge status exceeds the threshold value, discharging the rechargeable battery by increasing the energy consumption of the processor system. A computer program product for executing the process, a mobile terminal and a motor vehicle which comprises the described mobile terminal, are moreover described.

A global positioning system and integrated circuit with a differential oscillator and with a starting circuit connected to the differential oscillator, wherein the differential oscillator has a current mirror for setting an operating current through each of the two branches, the starting circuit has at least one switch connected to the current mirror, and has a starting means connected to the at least one switch, and the current mirror, the at least one switch, and the starting means are wired in such a manner that the operating current in each of the two branches of the differential oscillator is increased during a starting phase, which phase is a function of the starting means.

Integrated circuit and receiver of a global positioning system (GPS)

A circuit arrangement is provided for processing satellite signals comprising a first circuit part, which is made as a processor for computing position and/or speed signals from satellite signals, a second circuit part, which is made as a real-time clock to provide a time signal, at least two voltage sources, which are provided to supply at least one circuit part, and switching means, which are provided for switching the supply of at least one circuit part between the first voltage source and the second voltage source. According to an embodiment, the switching means have at least one voltage monitor with a bandgap voltage reference circuit to determine a switching voltage. The circuit arrangement can be used for GPS-supported navigation systems.

Circuit arrangement for processing satellite signals

An integrated protection circuit is provided to protect an integrated component against an electrostatic discharge with a conductive structure between the integrated component and a housing terminal, whereby two substantially parallel conductive sections of the conductive structure guide the electrostatic discharge in a preferential direction by inductive coupling.
