A seat cushion includes a cushion body, a weight measuring unit coupled to the cushion body, a tilt adjusting unit, a storage unit storing pre-established mapping data, and a controlling unit. The weight measuring unit measures, when a user is sitting on the cushion body, weight of the user applied to the cushion body so as to generate a result of weight measurement. The controlling unit is connected to the weight measuring unit, the tilt adjusting unit and the storage unit, and controls, when the seat cushion is operated in an automatic mode, the tilt adjusting unit to adjust a seat angle of the cushion body with respect to a horizontal reference plane based on the result of weight measurement, a height value and the mapping data.

A method for analyzing a digital audio signal associated with a baby cry, comprising the steps of: (a) processing the digital audio signal using a spectral analysis to generate a spectral data; (b) processing the digital audio signal using a time-frequency analysis to generate a time-frequency characteristic; (c) categorizing the baby cry into one of a basic type and a special type based on the spectral data; (d) if the baby cry is of the basic type, determining a basic need based on the time-frequency characteristic and a predetermined lookup table; and (e) if the baby cry is of the special type, determining a special need by inputting the time-frequency characteristic into a pre-trained artificial neural network.

Method and system for analyzing digital sound audio signal associated with baby cry

An electronic vision-therapy apparatus includes a frame, a lens module and a control unit. The lens module includes first and second liquid crystal lenses. The control unit is for controlling the first and second liquid crystal lenses to cooperatively generate and display a light filtering pattern. The light filtering pattern has an opaque part and a plurality of transparent parts. The control unit configures a part of the first liquid crystal lens that corresponds to the opaque part to allow only light having a first polarization to pass therethrough, and configures a part of the second liquid crystal lens that corresponds to the opaque part to allow only light having a second polarization orthogonal to the first polarization to pass therethrough.

Electronic vision-therapy apparatus

In a six-degree-of-freedom precision positioning system, magnetic force and fluid buoyancy are used to levitate a platform, and the non-contact magnetic force between electromagnets and magnets forms a main driving force for the platform. Therefore, no friction is present in the system and no lubricating mechanism is needed for the system. Moreover, in the system, electric current is converted by electromagnets and magnets into a magnetic driving force without using any transmission gears. Therefore, the backlash phenomenon that is not easily controllable in the conventional servo positioning systems is avoided. The system has simplified structure without the need of complicated fabrication, and utilizes the properties of fluid to achieve low power consumption, high precision positioning, and fast response.
