A filter auto-calibration system comprises a multi-clock module that includes a multi-clock generator configured to generate a first variable frequency signal based on a channel setting, the multi-clock generator comprising a quadrature signal generator configured to generate an in-phase component and a quadrature component of the first variable frequency signal; and a mixer configured to generate an in-phase component and a quadrature component of a quadrature signal from a received signal other than the first variable frequency signal. The system also comprises at least one filter to be calibrated, and an auto-calibration control module coupled to the multi-clock module and the at least one filter, the auto-calibration control module configured to receive the in-phase component and quadrature component of the first variable frequency signal from the multi-clock module, and configured to control calibration of the at least one filter based on the channel setting.

It is an objective of the present invention to provide a circuit with a wideband received signal strength indicator, used for multiple systems. By using the switches and the analog-to-digital converter and the demodulator, the circuit of the present invention has the advantages of auto gain control, circuit size reduction and power-saving.

The up-conversion mixer further includes a first cascaded transconductance input stage coupled to the mixer cell, the first cascaded transconductance input stage configured to receive an input signal and to reduce a third order harmonic of the output. The up-conversion mixer further includes a second cascaded transconductance input stage coupled to the mixer cell, the second cascaded transconductance input stage configured to receive the input signal and to reduce a third order harmonic of the output.

A device includes an interposer and a radio-frequency (RF) device bonded to a first side of the interposer. The interposer includes a first side and a second side opposite to the first side. The interposer does not have through-interposer vias formed therein. First passive devices are formed on the first side of the interposer and electrically coupled to the RF device. A filter auto-calibration system includes a multi-clock module. The multi-clock module includes a multi-clock generator that is configured to generate a clock signal with a variable frequency based on a channel setting. There is at least one filter to be calibrated. An auto-calibration control module is configured to control calibration of the at least one filter based on the channel setting. The multi-clock module is configured to supply the variable frequency clock signal to the at least one filter and to the auto-calibration control module, and the at least one filter is coupled to the auto-calibration control module.

A method of calibrating a filter includes applying an input signal into the filter to generate an output signal, measuring a phase difference between the input signal and the output signal; determining a leading/lagging status of the phase difference; calculating a capacitor code (CAP_CODE) using the leading/lagging status; and calibrating the capacitor using the CAP_CODE.

In-situ RC-calibration scheme for active RC filter

According to some embodiments, an up-conversion mixer includes a mixer cell having an output node arranged to provide an output. An input stage is coupled to the mixer cell and arranged to receive an input signal. The mixer cell is configured to generate the output with an up-converted frequency compared to an input frequency of the input signal. The input stage is configured to reduce a third order harmonic term of the output so that an output power plot of the third order harmonic term with respect to an input power has a notch with a local minimum.

A bandgap reference circuit includes a reference current generator for respectively generating a first reference current on a first current path and a second reference current on a second current path, a current mirror for generating a third reference current on a third current path based on the first and second reference currents, an operation amplifier for rendering the first reference current substantially identical to the second reference current and a feedback circuit for rendering a node voltage on the first current path substantially identical to another node voltage on the third current path, so as to eliminate possible errors caused by a channel length modulation effect in the current mirror.

Bandgap reference circuit

A low supply voltage band-gap reference circuit is provided, which includes a positive temperature coefficient current generation unit and a negative temperature coefficient current generation unit, and it is implemented by way of current summing. Through the current-mode temperature compensation technique, the present invention is able to reduce the voltage headroom and the number of operational amplifiers required by the conventional voltage-summing method, as well as the influence to the output voltage due to the offset voltage, thereby providing a stable and low voltage band-gap reference voltage level. In addition, by reducing the number of operational amplifiers and resistors of high resistance, the circuit area is reduced, and chip cost is saved.

Low supply voltage band-gap reference circuit and negative temperature coefficient current generation unit thereof and method for supplying band-gap reference current

A voltage reference circuit including a positive temperature coefficient current generator, a negative temperature coefficient current generator, and a first resistor is provided. In the positive temperature coefficient current generator, two transistors are operated in the weak inversion region, and a second resistor is connected in series between the gates of the two transistors. The second resistor employs the characteristic that a transistor operated in weak inversion region acts like a bipolar junction transistor to generate a positive temperature coefficient current. The negative temperature coefficient current generator generates a negative temperature coefficient current in response to a negative temperature coefficient voltage drop on a third resistor. The positive temperature coefficient current and the negative temperature coefficient current flow through the first resistor together, thus producing a stable reference voltage.
