The method includes receiving at least one of a first Resource Control (RRC) parameter or a second RRC parameter, the first RRC parameter indicating that a user equipment (UE) supports a first search space set group (SSSG) switching mechanism, and the second RRC parameter indicating that the UE supports a second SSSG switching mechanism; and transmitting, to the UE, one or more physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) configurations including one or more third RRC parameters, all of the one or more third RRC parameters indicating a same one of the first SSSG switching mechanism and the second SSSG switching mechanism.

The method selects a first CORESET, and then selects a second CORESET by performing a set of operations including: in response to determining that the first CORESET is associated with only one Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) type D property, selecting a CORESET that is associated with two QCL type D properties, one of which being the only one QCL type D property, as the second CORESET, and in response to determining that the first CORESET is associated with two QCL type D properties, selecting a CORESET that is associated with only one QCL type D property, which is one of the two QCL type D properties, as the second CORESET. The method monitors, at least, the first CORESET and the second CORESET to receive the DL signaling.

A method for small data transmission (SDT) and related device are provided. In the method, a configuration from a base station (BS) is received. The configuration indicates a first reference signal received power (RSRP) threshold and a second RSRP threshold. A SDT procedure is initiated based on a configured grant (CG) resource in response to a RSRP of a downlink (DL) pathloss reference being higher than the first RSRP threshold. In response to initiating the SDT procedure based on the CG resource, the method further includes the following.
