Performance attributes for a machine learning pipeline that applies a model to as part of a transformation for an ETL job may be used to configure a parameter in a stage of the machine learning pipeline. The configured stage may then be used when training the model. An system for authenticating users of an application program executing at a front-end computer using the security features built into the operating system of a logon computer is provided. Initially, an administrator establishes user accounts for each user with an operating system executing at the logon computer with access to application resources. When the application program starts executing at the front-end computer, the application program prompts the user for credentials. The application program attempts to access resources managed by the logon computer using the received credentials. When access to a resource is successful, the application program knows that the logon computer has authenticated the user and the user is authorized to access the resource. In this manner, the application program can take advantage of the security features built into the operating system executing at the logon computer to authenticate users of the application program and authorize access to application resources.

The described implementations relate to updating views in a database system. One implementation can identify an active view that retrieves records from a database and determine one or more physical tables in the database that are referenced by the active view. The implementation can track one or more columns in the physical tables that are used by the active view and identify a change to the physical tables in a transaction log of the database. If the change does not affect the one or more columns, the change can be treated as an ignorable change for the active view.

A workflow add-in provides a configurable workflow that can be used to extend a built-in payment format or a payment format add-in. A financial services provider add-in provides support for interacting with a financial services provider for which the POS application does not provide built-in support. Each add-in can implement, for example, logic for processing a payment transaction, a portion of a payment transaction, and configuring steps for processing a payment transaction.

Extensible framework for supporting different modes of payments

A modular framework for data import/export in an application that allows modules/components to be independently developed for importing and exporting data related to specific entities, including the handling of dependencies between entities. The framework is metadata driven which allows new entities to be introduced in the application with new modules for importing/exporting data related to those entities, without updating modules for exporting existing entities. Each type of entity is defined with a schema that represents the logical entity such that the entity is agnostic as to how the entity data is stored in database tables. A master configuration file is created for the application that lists each entity that can be imported or exported by the application, and defines how the framework imports or exports the business entity. Additionally, dynamic batching is provided to divide large datasets into multiple batches for suitable consumption by consumers of the exported data.

The invention software implements a framework with one or more extension objects providing functionality to an application program and an application manager for integrating the functionality with the application program during execution of the application program. Systems and methods for adjusting a source image aspect ratio to match a different target display aspect ratio are described. In one aspect, the systems and methods determine that a source image has a first aspect ratio that is different than a second aspect ratio of a target display. Responsive to this determination, primary visual content of the source image is automatically detected. Dimensions and position of a crop of the source image are automatically calculated such that the crop preserves at least a subset of the primary visual content in the crop. Additionally, the crop is based on the second aspect ratio.

The subject invention provides a system and/or method that facilitates encoding a source image associated with a motion vector by employing at least one step image, wherein such step image provides a reduction in the amount of stored video. A step image component determines the maximum step image size and appropriate number of step images to simulate a smooth motion based upon an input component receiving data such as, but not limited to, a motion parameter and a computer environment parameter. Moreover, the step image component can utilize a motion controller component that facilitates the visual perception of smooth video during a zoom motion. Additionally, the step image component can utilize an encoder component providing specialized techniques in encoding with step images.

Systems and methods employing authenticated connections to a central server to establish and authenticate a peer-to-peer connection between peer devices. The invention circumvents the potential vulnerability of clear-text transmission of secrets through a series of encrypted data transfers. A secret key is encrypted and then transmitted from one peer device to another using authenticated connections to the server. The secret key is then used to transmit encrypted data over a peer connection between the peer devices for the purpose of authenticating the peer devices on each end of the connection.

A motion component can receive the image and generate a corresponding motion, which can mitigate complications involved with authoring the image-based video. The motion component can apply the motion to the image based at least upon a comparison between an aspect ratio of the image and a resulting video aspect ratio. The comparison can be a numeric difference, wherein the difference can be associated with a category, wherein the category provides the motion to be applied.
