Systems, methods, techniques and apparatuses of networked microgrids are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment is a method for removing false data from a networked microgrid system including: calculating a first local state estimation with the microgrid control system; calculating a plurality of global state estimations with the microgrid control system and the plurality of microgrids; determining the plurality of global state estimations did not converge; detecting false data in a first global state estimation of the plurality of global state estimations calculated with the microgrid control system using the microgrid control system and the plurality of microgrids; and removing the first global state estimation from the plurality of global state estimations; and iteratively updating the remaining global state estimations of the plurality of global state estimations with the microgrid control system and the plurality of microgrids until the remaining global state estimations of the plurality of global state estimations converge.

Secure distributed state estimation for networked microgrids

Systems, methods, techniques and apparatuses of asynchronous communication is distributed systems are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment is a method determining, with a plurality of agent nodes structured to communicate asynchronously in a distributed system, a first set of iterations including an iteration determined by each of the plurality of agent nodes; determining, with a first agent node of the plurality of agent nodes, a local vector clock; receiving, with the first agent node, a first iteration of the first set of iterations and a remote vector clock determined based on the first iteration; updating, with the first agent node, the local vector clock based on the received remote vector clock; and determining a first iteration of a second set of iterations based on the first set of iterations after determining all iterations of the first set of iterations have been received based on the local vector clock.

Data exchange and processing synchronization in distributed systems

A method includes detecting a fault in a grid coupled to a distribution power network, the distribution power network comprising a distribution feeder, a plurality of distributed energy resources (DERs) coupled to the distribution feeder and a reference point of applicability (RPA) associated with the plurality of DERs, and in response to detecting the fault, determining an error voltage at the RPA, converting the error voltage into an error signal, broadcasting the error signal to the plurality of DERs, and based on the error signal, reducing the error voltage at the RPA by injecting a plurality of currents from the plurality of DERs to the distribution feeder.

Distribution power system fault control apparatus and method

Systems, methods, techniques and apparatuses for managing distributed applications of networked intelligent agents are disclosed. The agents are operably to autonomously discover semantic profiles and associated data of other agents in a networked system participating in a given application. The agents need not be in direct communication with or known to all the other agents in the networked system.
