The present inventive concept is related to antibodies, such as recombinant humanized and monoclonal antibodies, methods of making antibodies, and methods of using antibodies, such as antibodies directed toward and capable of specifically binding to and clearing amyloid-beta (A&#x3b2;) plaques in the brain that are suitable for use in the treatment of disorders such as Alzheimer's Disease (AD).

The present disclosure encompasses NGF binding proteins, specifically to antibodies that are chimeric, CDR grafted and canonized antibodies, and methods of making and uses thereof. The antibodies, or antibody portions, of the disclosure are useful for detecting NGF and for inhibiting NGF activity, e.g., in a mammal subject suffering from a disorder in which NGF activity is detrimental.

The disclosure provides binding proteins that specifically bind to IL-1&#x3b1; and IL-1&#x3b2;. These binding proteins can be organized into DVD-Igs. These proteins can be used to modulate the activity of IL-1&#x3b1; and/or IL-1&#x3b2; and can be used for the treatment immunological diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, and other autoimmune diseases. In addition, their uses in the amelioration and/or treatment of pain in an individual suffering from a disease or disorder associated with IL-1 accumulation.
