Provided is a prediction device, to which one or more wire electrical discharge machines are connected, the one or more wire electrical discharge machines each performing machining on an object to be machined according to a predetermined machining condition while moving a wire electrode relatively with respect to the object to be machined along a machining path, the prediction device including a prediction unit that predicts, for a predetermined component constituting the wire electrical discharge machine, a predicted rate of consumption indicative of a rate of consumption based on the machining condition when the wire electrode is moved relatively by a unit distance, and a display unit that displays the predicted rate of consumption of the component.

To provide a wire electric discharge machine which suppresses the machining speed and machining precision from declining, as well as enabling flexible handling in relation to the shapes of various workpieces, and the generation of sludge and gases which varies accompanying the progression of wire electric discharge machining. A wire electric discharge machine that performs electric discharge machining on a workpiece by causing a wire electrode and the workpiece to relatively move, includes an articulated robot, and a suction mechanism provided to a wrist leading end of the articulated robot, and suctions machining waste and gas generated by wire electric discharge machining.

In a fixing structure and fixing method of a wire bobbin, the wire bobbin is abutted against the regulating member with the bolt inserted into the insertion hole of the wire bobbin. Then, a nut is inserted into a through hole while being kept inclined so that the axis of the through hole is substantially aligned with the axis of the bolt. Thereafter, the inclination of the nut is returned so that the axis of threaded hole becomes substantially aligned with the axis of the bolt, and then the nut is turned so as to insert part of a tapered portion into the insertion hole.

A servo motor is driven to rotate a feed axis to move a movable part of a machine tool controlled by a numerical controller in a feed axis direction. A sensor that senses force from the outside (worker) applied to the movable part and a direction of the force is provided on the movable part. The numerical controller generates a movement command for moving the movable part in the direction of the force detected by the sensor and drives the servo motor based on the movement command.

A wire electric discharge machine according to the present invention includes a multijoint robot including a wire crossing mechanism for crossing a wire electrode on its tip end, a robot controller for controlling the multijoint robot, a numerical controller for controlling the wire electric discharge machine, and a transmission unit for transmitting a coordinate position when the multijoint robot is driven and controlled to move the wire crossing mechanism from the robot controller to the numerical controller, and the numerical controller synchronizes a position of each shaft of the wire electric discharge machine with a movement of the wire crossing mechanism with reference to the coordinate position transmitted by the transmission unit.

Wire electric discharge machine capable of machining various surfaces

A plurality of plate-like workpieces held by a workpiece holder are subjected to discharge machining by a wire electric discharge machine. The workpiece holder includes a cylindrical member in which the plurality of plate-like workpieces are housed in a stacked state, lid members placed on upper and lower ends of the plate-like workpieces housed in the cylindrical member so as to press the plate-like workpieces, and a workpiece stage mount member having an insertion hole in which the cylindrical member is inserted and housed. Concave sections are formed in positions corresponding to a machining start point and a machining end point on an inner circumference surface of the cylindrical member.
