One method includes receiving a start location and a destination location, and stops in between, receiving information related to at least one third party operated mode of transportation from a third party determining data related to the at least one third party operated mode of transportation and at least one user operated mode of transportation, generating and displaying determined data for at least one option for each of the plurality of modes of transportation, receiving a selection of a sort category, and determining the option of each mode of transportation to be displayed and an order in which the modes of transportation are displayed based on the selection of the sort category.

Systems and methods for simultaneous electronic display of various modes of transportation for viewing and comparing

Systems and methods are disclosed for generating and displaying a linear visual indicator of an entire route on a singular screen. One method includes calculating a route based on start and destination location and then determining various conditions along the calculated route. These conditions include, for example, traffic, weather, construction, road type, etc. This discloses generating and displaying a linear depiction of the full route and the navigation mapping screen, to provide the user with an easily understandable and accessible view of the full picture of route conditions.

One method includes receiving, for a user over an electronic network, log-in information, one or more transportation preferences and a destination; identifying a subset of available modes of transportation to the destination; determining a time, distance, and cost associated with traveling to the destination using each available mode; identify a further subset of acceptable modes by comparing the determined time, distance and cost of each available mode against one or more of the user's preferences, the user's history, a date and time, one or more assumption, and a mode total weighting; and identifying at least one option for traveling to the destination using each acceptable mode.

Systems and methods are disclosed for generating and displaying a POI data associated with multiple searches on a single digital map. Searches may be activated from pre-set layers within a layer panel. Searches may also be activated by adding custom layers.
