A surgical guide includes a body having four sides. The body comprises a first base at the first side, a second base at the second side and an elongated extension between the first and second base. The first base defines at least one first hole and the second base defines at least a second hole. The body is sized and configured to be installed above a joint line of a calcaneus and a talus bone and approximately mid-way along a longitudinal axis of a tibia. The first base is configured to receive at least one dowel of a second surgical guide in the at least one first hole and the second base is configured to receive at least one pin sleeve and pin in the second hole. Systems and methods are also disclosed.

Flexion/extension surgical guides and methods of using the same

A surgical tool includes a handle and a trial section coupled to the handle by an engagement section. The trial section includes an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface has a shape that corresponds to an upper surface of an implant. The trial section defines a first slot extending from the upper surface to the lower surface and inwardly from a first side. A second slot extends from the upper surface to the lower surface and inwardly from a second side.

A guidance tool includes a body having a length extending from a first end to a second end. The body includes a shape memory section along the length of the body. The shape memory section has a curved shape.

Guidance tools, systems, and methods

A method of ankle replacement includes forming an anterior cut in a bone and forming a stem hole in a distal end of the bone. The stem hole is formed using a plurality of broaches positioned against the distal end of the bone through the anterior cut. A first portion and a second portion of a stem implant are inserted into the stem hole through the anterior cut in the bone. The first portion is coupled to the second portion using a coupling device inserted through the anterior cut in the bone. The stem implant is impacted into the stem hole using an offset impactor.

Anterior ankle approach system and method

An ankle prosthesis is provided that includes a tibial stem with a retractable member configured to be controllably movable between a retracted position and an extended position so that in the extended position the retractable member engages the surface of the bone that defines an intramedullary canal so as to enhance anchoring of the tibial stem within the tibia.

Expanding tibial stem

An alignment guide includes a base, a swing arm for coupling to the base such that the swing arm is movable relative to the base, and a locking device for selectively fixing a position of the swing arm relative to the base. The base defines at least one first hole sized and configured to receive a first fixation element and defines at least one second hole sized and configured to receive a second fixation element. The swing arm extends from a first end to a second end. The second end of the swing arm including a coupling mechanism for coupling another guide to the second end of the swing arm.
