In one example, a method for providing content-aware progress bar includes receiving a command from a user via an input device to present a visual media on a display device, retrieving a progress bar associated with the visual media, wherein the progress bar includes a plurality of sections, and where each section of the plurality of sections corresponds to one scene of a plurality of scenes of the visual media, and wherein the each section visually indicates a type of content contained in the one scene, a location of the one scene in the visual media, and a duration of the one scene, presenting the visual media on the display device, and displaying the progress bar on the display device in a manner that is time-synchronized to the visual media.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining, over a first mobile network, first media content from a media content server, and detecting a travel route associated with the communication device. Further embodiments can include identifying a group of mobile networks associated with the travel route in which the group of mobile networks comprise the first mobile network. A method for providing a personalized media stream includes receiving a signal from a user to launch a personalized media stream, determining a current time, identifying a first time slot of a schedule into which the current time falls, identifying a first channel that is associated with the first time slot, wherein viewing history for the user indicates that the user has viewed the first channel during the first time slot in the past, automatically tuning the display device to the first channel in response to the signal, receiving, subsequent to the automatically tuning, a command from the user to pause a program playing on the first channel, identifying a second channel associated with a second time slot, wherein the second time slot occurs later in time that the first time slot, and buffering a portion of a program being shown on the second channel during the second time slot.

Apparatuses and methods for facilitating an insertion of markers in content

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining media content, providing it as input to a neural network adapted to categorize scenes according to predetermined categories, and generating metadata according to the categorization. An objectionable scene is identified based on a user preference and according to a characterization. An altered scene based on a content of the objectionable scene may be obtained responsive to the identifying of the objectionable scene. The altered scene provides a suitable scene in place of the objectional scene that preserves information of the content to obtain preserved information. Replacement of the objectionable scene with the altered scene may be facilitated to obtain adapted media content, wherein presentation of the adapted media content via equipment avoids presentation of the objectionable scene, while maintaining a continuity of the original media content via the preserved information. Content processing workflow that alters objectionable content segments to enhance customer viewing experience

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining social network information associated with a first user, wherein the social network information includes information identifying a second user who is related to the first user. A determination is made that the first user had selected, during a presentation of a first media content item by a first media processing device of the first user, recording of a second media content item that had been advertised during the presentation of the first media content item. Responsive to the determining that the first user had selected the recording of the second media content item, a second media processing device of the second user is directed to record the second media content item. Method and apparatus for recording advertised media content

In one example, the present disclosure describes a device, computer-readable medium, and method for providing immersive entertainment experiences by coordinating the actions of connected home devices. For instance, in one example, a metadata file is encoded in a first signal. The metadata file contains data that indicates how to adjust a setting of a connected home device to synchronize a home system with a portion of a media. The first signal is then delivered to a customer device in communication with the connected home device.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, generating metadata associated with a second portion of the first media content, and providing the first media content and the metadata to a media processor that presents the first portion of the first media content. The media processor identifies a media content type associated with the second portion of the first media content according to the metadata. The media processor terminates presentation of the first media content prior to presentation of the second portion of the first media content and presents the second media content during a broadcast of the second portion of the first media content. Further, the media processor terminates presentation of the second media content, and presents the third portion of the first media content from the first broadcast channel. Methods, systems, and devices for enhancing viewing experience based on media content processing and delivery

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that includes receiving, by a processing system at a first premises, a request from a second premises for a channel signal to be obtained from a first signal received via a satellite dish system; the request specifies one channel provided by the satellite dish system. The method also includes converting the first signal to generate a converted signal, and encrypting and modulating the converted signal to generate a second signal; the modulating is performed by a first transceiver at the first premises, and the second signal includes the requested channel signal. The method further includes transmitting the second signal to a second transceiver at the second premises; the second transceiver demodulates and decrypts the encrypted second signal to provide the requested channel signal at equipment at the second premises. Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a media processing device comprising: a processing system including a processor; and a memory storing executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, perform operations comprising: presenting a first media content item including an advertisement for a second media content item, resulting in a presentation; receiving, during the presentation, a recording instruction; responsive to receiving the recording instruction during the advertisement, presenting a query, wherein the query provides a choice of: recording the first media content item or recording the second media content item; and receiving a response to the query, wherein the response includes either a first command to record the first media content item or a second command to record the second media content item.
