A spinal plate that is self-adjusting along its longitudinal axis to accommodate subsidence that may occur and aid in loading the bone graft to promote boney fusion while providing rigid fixation. The spinal plate is configured to inhibit loosening or backing out of bone screws.

Dynamic plate with inserts

An intervertebral implant system is disclosed which includes a spinal spacer for engagement between vertebrae and at least one semi-constrained bone screw assembly. The spinal spacer includes a body extending between first and second end surfaces to define opposing top and bottom vertebral engaging surfaces. The second end surface of the body includes at least one aperture formed therethrough at an angle relative to the centerline axis and a screw opening defined therethrough. The semi-constrained bone screw assembly is adapted for insertion through the screw opening and includes a shank, a head and a rod member. The rod member is fixedly engageable with the shank and moveably coupled to the head such that both the rod member and the shank are moveable with respect to the head.

Spinal interbody spacer with semi-constrained screws

A bone screw for attaching a bone plate to bone includes a shank defining a lumen extending at least partially therethrough from a proximal end thereof, a head defining a lumen therethrough, and a rod member. The rod member is configured for insertion through the lumen of the head and into the lumen of the shank. The rod member is fixedly engageable with the shank and moveably coupled to the head such that both the rod member and the shank are moveable with respect to the head.

Semi-constrained bone screw

A connecting apparatus includes a first grasping member adapted to hold a first elongated member and a second grasping member adapted to hold a second elongated member. The second grasping member is operatively connected to the first grasping member so that the first and second grasping members are movable relative to each other. The apparatus further includes a first rotatable rod disposed in mechanical cooperation with the first grasping member, a second rotatable rod disposed in mechanical cooperation with the second grasping member, a first engaging member operatively connected to the first rotatable rod, and a second engaging member operatively connected to the second rotatable rod. The first engaging member is adapted to engage at least a portion of a first pedicle screw. The second engaging member is adapted to engage at least a portion of a second pedicle screw.
