A pixel includes: a light emitting diode; a first transistor; a first capacitor connected between a first node and a gate electrode of the first transistor; a second transistor including a first electrode electrically connected to the gate electrode of the first transistor, a second electrode and a gate electrode which receives a first scan signal; and a third transistor including a first electrode electrically connected to the second electrode of the second transistor, a second electrode electrically connected to a third voltage line, and a gate electrode which receives a second scan signal. During an initialization period, an initialization voltage provided from the third voltage line is provided to the gate electrode of the first transistor through the third and second transistors, and, when the initialization period is terminated, at least one of the second transistor and the third transistor is turned off.

A display panel includes: a substrate including a main display area, a component area, and a peripheral area; a main sub-pixel at the main display area on the substrate; a main pixel circuit connected to the main sub-pixel, and including a main storage capacitor; an auxiliary sub-pixel at the component area on the substrate; an auxiliary pixel circuit at the peripheral area on the substrate, and including an auxiliary storage capacitor; and a connecting line connecting the auxiliary sub-pixel to the auxiliary pixel circuit. A capacity of the auxiliary storage capacitor is greater than a capacity of the main storage capacitor.

A display apparatus includes a base substrate, a plurality of data lines disposed in a display area on the base substrate, wherein at least a portion of the data lines extend to a first peripheral area adjacent to the display area, a plurality of detour lines disposed in the display area, wherein at least a portion of the detour lines extend to the first peripheral area, and a data driver electrically connected to the data lines and the detour lines, wherein at least one of the data lines electrically contacts at least one of the detour lines in the first peripheral area.

Liquid crystal display device

A display device including: a display panel which displays an image with light, including: a substrate including: first and second light blocking areas extending in first and second directions, respectively, and a pixel area at which the image is displayed, defined by the first and second light blocking areas which intersect each other; a first shielding line and a data line spaced apart from each other on the substrate at the first light blocking area; a gate line at the second light blocking area to intersect the data line; and a thin film transistor connected to the data and gate lines. The shielding line includes a protrusion protruding toward the data line, the protrusion being overlapped by the thin film transistor. The shielding line is in a same layer of the display panel as the data line among layers disposed on the substrate of the display panel.

Gate driver and display apparatus having the same

Provided is a gate driving unit including: a plurality of stages configured to be activated sequentially so as to generate gate signals; and a plurality of repair blocks having sizes smaller than the corresponding stages and configured to repair defects of the stages. Each of the repair blocks is disposed proximate to two or more stages so as to be configured to repair defects in the two or more stages.
