A method for repairing a component is provided. The method comprises: tracing an electrode across a defect/damage on the component at a preselected distance from the component; feeding a first metal powder and a second metal powder into a discharging gap between the electrode and the component; controlling feed rates of the first and second metal powders separately; and electro-spark depositing the first and second metal powders to the component to form a hybrid metal coating. The first metal powder comprises a first metal or alloy with a Vickers hardness rating of about 70-200% of the Vickers hardness rating of the component. The second metal powder comprises a second metal or alloy having lubricating/anti-corrosion properties.

A lubrication system for a fluid turbine is provided. The system includes a supply subsystem for providing oil via an oil tank or a hydraulic accumulator to a gearbox of the fluid turbine for lubrication during at least one of idling or loss of electric grid. The rotating portion is configured to rotate an anode. The X-ray tube further includes a sealing portion formed by a liquid metal vacuum interface configured in a radial direction to resist flow of liquid metal from the housing to a vacuum portion.

An X-ray tube comprises a cathode, an anode target assembly and an axial flux motor having a rotor and a stator. The stator is positioned along a transverse axis parallel to the rotor axis. The rotor and the stator are configured to be coupled to the anode target assembly. A cathode generates an electron beam for impingement upon the anode target assembly and a vacuum housing surrounds the anode target assembly, the cathode and the rotor to enable the electron beam impingement.
