A threaded connection comprising a pin connecting having dual tapered threads and a box connection having mating dual tapered threads. There is an internal torque shoulder in the box connection, the torque shoulder having a negative angled surface which mates with an angled surface on the nose of the pin connection. The pin connection has an external torque shoulder having a negative angled surface which is engaged and mates with a negative angled surface formed on the face of the box connection.

Threaded connection

A casing coupling has a taper which is different from the taper of a standard API Pin. The coupling has a thread pitch diameter which is increased relative to that of a standard API coupling but which still mates with a standard API pin.

Coupling for connecting threaded tubulars

A threaded connection for tubing having a pin connection with external, tapered buttress type threads, preferably with a one inch per foot thread taper, the pin threaded portion having seven threads per inch. The connection also includes a box connection having complementary internal threads threadedly engaging the pin, the box connection having a comparable pitch and thread taper.

A threaded connection for use on oil field tubular. The connection has a dual tapered thread comprising a dual helical thread having a first, straight threaded portion and a second, angled portion, the threaded connection comprising a pin connection and a box connection both of which have thread-free sections. The thread-free section on the pin and the box are comprised of frustoconical surfaces and cylindrical surfaces. The thread-free section of the pin in addition to having a frustoconical surface and a cylindrical surface has an annular, radially outwardly radiused protrusion which, when the box and the pin connection are made-up is in interference engagement with the frustoconical surface in the box.

A threaded, coupled connection having tapered, buttress-type threads, the threaded portions of the connection having a thread pitch of seven threads per inch. Preferably the pin threads of the coupled connection are pull-out threads.

A system and method for performing machining operations on first and second ends of an elongate workpiece, the system comprising a support for the workpiece which has first and second, spaced sides, each of which has first and second spaced ends, a first machining tool disposed proximate the first end of the first side for performing a first machining operation on a first end of the workpiece, a second machining tool being positioned proximate the second end of the second side for performing a second machining operation on a second side of the workpiece, the first and second machining tools being mirror images of one another.
