A medical mechatronic male interface device couples a surgical assistance system to a mount. The male interface device includes a base including an end face and a functional body extending from the end face, a first mechanical coupling for positive and/or non-positive coupling to a medical mechatronic female interface device, and at least one first electronic interface configured to connect to a second electronic interface of the female interface device. The functional body includes a centering device that centers the surgical assistance system free of play relative to the base. The centering device includes a first functional surface, a second functional surface, and a third functional surface that together at least partially define a three-sided pyramid. The first mechanical coupling includes a first undercut and a second undercut on the functional body that each define a segment engageable from behind.

A surgical manipulator device for positioning a surgical instrument has a frame, a first mount, a second mount, a first suspension arm arrangement supported on the frame and connecting the frame to the first mount in an articulated manner, and a second suspension arm arrangement supported on the frame and connecting the frame to the second mount in an articulated manner. The first and the second suspension arm arrangements are each displaceable relative to the frame in first and second motion planes parallel to each other and spaced apart, so that the first mount is displaceable in the first motion plane and the second mount is displaceable in the second motion plane.

A holding arm for medical purposes, in particular for holding surgical mechatronic assistance systems and/or surgical instruments, includes a proximal end for attaching the holding arm to a base and a distal end for receiving a surgical mechatronic assistance system and/or surgical instrument; at least one first and one second arm segment, wherein the first arm segment is connected to a first joint and the second arm segment is connected to a second joint, wherein each joint is releasable and lockable. An operating unit is provided for bringing the holding arm into a desired pose, wherein the operating unit is adapted to release the associated joint upon contact between an operator and one of the first and second arm segments. A corresponding method is also provided.

Intelligent holding arm for head surgery, with touch-sensitive operation

A passive surgical manipulator for holding and positioning a surgical instrument is described. The passive surgical manipulator has a frame, a first suspension arm arrangement connecting the frame in an articulated manner to a first joint, and a second suspension arm arrangement connecting the frame in an articulated manner to a second joint. The two suspension arm arrangements are implemented so that the first joint is displaceable in a first motion plane and the second joint is displaceable in a second motion plane. Also, a first actuating device has a first interface, a second actuating device has a second interface, a third actuating device has a third interface, and a fourth actuating device has a fourth interface for temporarily receiving a corresponding interface of a handheld drive unit for transferring an actuating motion to displace the first and second joints.

A holding device for medical purposes holds an attached device. The holding device has a proximal end for attaching the holding device to a base and a distal end for receiving the attached device. The holding device also has a first arm segment and a second arm segment. The first arm segment is connected to a first joint and the second arm segment is connected to a second joint. Each joint is releasable or lockable. The holding device further has an operator control device for releasing and/or locking the first or second joint for placing the holding device in a desired pose. The holding device also has a controller for controlling the holding device and at least one receiver for electromagnetic radiation connected to the controller for transmitting signals to the controller based on received electromagnetic signals of a surgical navigation system.

A medical mechatronic male interface device for coupling a surgical assistance system to a mounting structure has a base with an end face, a functional body, extending from the end face, first mechanical coupling means for positive and/or non-positive coupling to a corresponding medical mechatronic female interface device, and at least one first electronic interface for connecting to a corresponding second electronic interface of the female interface device. The functional body has a centring device to center the surgical assistance system free of play relative to the base. The centring device has a first functional surface, a second functional surface, and a third functional surface that are not parallel to each other and that have normals which do not lie in a common plane. A corresponding female interface device and a mounting arm and a surgical assistance system are also described.

A holding apparatus, in particular a holding arm and/or tripod, for medical purposes, comprises a proximal end for attaching the holding apparatus to a base and a distal end for receiving an add-on device; at least one first and one second arm segment, where the first arm segment is connected to a first joint and the second arm segment is connected to a second joint, where each joint is releasable and lockable; an operating device for releasing and/or locking the respective joint for putting the holding apparatus into a desired pose; and a first display unit which is arranged on the first joint and a second display unit which is arranged on the second joint. The first and/or second display unit is configured to display at least one status of the holding apparatus and/or of an add-on device that is different from the releasing and/or locking of the respective joint. The invention further relates to a method.

A holding arm for medical purposes, in particular for holding a mechatronic assistance system, includes a proximal end for attaching the holding arm to a base and a distal end for receiving the surgical mechatronic assistance system, an assistance interface at the distal end for coupling the holding arm to the assistance system to control the assistance system, an assistance operating device designed to detect an operator action by an operator which is directed at controlling the assistance system and if necessary to transmit a request signal representing the operator action to the assistance interface for the purpose of controlling the surgical mechatronic assistance system.
