A drive device for an injection valve may include an actuator configured for exerting a force along a first force action axis, a lever device coupled to the actuator, an output element coupled to the lever device and configured for absorbing a force from the lever device along a second force action axis, wherein the first and second force action axes are arranged offset with respect to one another, and a transmission element arranged between the actuator and the lever device. The transmission element may be coupled to the actuator in a first contact region and to the lever device in a second contact region. The first contact region of the transmission element may be arranged such that it is penetrated by the first force action axis. The second contact region of the transmission element may be arranged such that it is penetrated by the second force action axis.

A method and a device for setting an idle stroke of an actuating drive of an injection valve with respect to an actuating element actuated by the actuating drive. The actuating drive is arranged in an injector body and the actuating element is arranged in an actuating-element housing such that it is movable in an axial. An axial stressing force is applied to the injector body and the actuating-element housing such that part of the injector body or actuating-element housing arranged in a force flow path defined the axial stressing force is deformed permanently, until a value of a representative electric variable determined directly or indirectly for the idle stroke of the actuating drive lies in a predefined value range. A valve has a piezoelectric actuator with a valve element, a valve body and a valve seat. In order to control the valve, the valve element is moved into the valve seat from a position remote from the valve seat by means of a charging process at a prescribable first time. A first value is determined being characteristic of the electrical power supplied to the piezoelectric actuator when the valve element meets the valve seat. A second value is determined being characteristic of the electrical power supplied to the piezoelectric actuator when the charging process of the piezoelectric actuator is concluded. An actual difference value between the second value and the first value is determined. A difference between a setpoint difference value and the actual difference value is supplied to a controller. An actuating signal for charging the piezoelectric actuator is determined as a function of the actuating variable.

A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having an axially movable valve member which, with its end oriented toward the combustion chamber, opens and closes a through flow cross section to at least one injection opening and which, with its end remote from the combustion chamber, protrudes into a fuel-filled spring chamber in which a valve spring is clamped, which acts on the valve member in the closing direction and is supported with its end remote from the valve member against a deflecting piston which, during the supply of high pressure fuel to the fuel injection valve, can be moved a certain distance into the spring chamber and thereby increases the initial stress force of the valve spring, and having a connecting conduit between the spring chamber and a low pressure fuel chamber. The connecting conduit between the spring chamber and the low pressure fuel chamber is embodied as a throttle bore in order to increase the injection opening pressure.

A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines, having a fuel injection pump, which can be inserted into a housing of the engine and is axially clamped together with a fuel injection valve by means of a clamping sleeve. The valve, with an end remote from the pump, protrudes into a combustion chamber of the engine. A fuel supply line to the fuel injection pump feeds into an annular chamber encompassing the clamping sleeve and, via through openings in the clamping sleeve and inlet conduits in the pump housing, the valve can be connected to a pump working chamber of fuel injection pump. According to the invention, the fuel filter in the inlet to the pump working chamber is constituted by the clamping sleeve, which has a multitude of filter openings for this purpose in its circumference wall, in the vicinity of the annular chamber.

Fuel injection device for internal combustion engines

A cylinder head cover of an internal combustion engine with a solenoid-controlled injection device using pump-nozzle units designed so that the solenoid valves are supplied with power in a manner that is advantageous from the manufacturing point of view and provides reliable operation. For this purpose, the cylinder head cover covers the entire injection device and contact elements designed as inserts are injected into the cylinder head cover made of plastic in an injection molding process. The contact elements automatically come into a close-fitting contact with contact surfaces mounted on the outside of the solenoid valves when the cylinder head cover is mounted on a cylinder head. The contact elements are combined with contact segments in a central connector mounted on the outside of the cylinder head cover, wherein the power is supplied for the solenoid valves centrally from a controller.
