A fluid flow turbine blade assembly for a turbine rotor includes a blade and a deflector extending spanwise along at least a portion of the blade. At least a portion of an upstream surface of the deflector, along at least a portion of a span of the deflector, has a concave shape in a chordwise direction such that at least a portion of a chord line between leading and trailing edges of the deflector is disposed outside a profile defined between the upstream surface and a downstream surface of the deflector. The deflector has a substantially uniform thickness or a chord-wise varying thickness between the upstream surface and the downstream surface. The deflector alters fluid flow over the blade so as to increase the blade's contribution to global torque generated by the assembly so that, with the deflector's torque contribution, the global torque of the assembly is greater than the global torque that would be generated by the blade alone without the benefit of the deflector.

A coupler assembly is provided that includes an adapter body, a coupler body, and a sealing gasket. The adapter body has a sidewall with a circumferential groove in an outer periphery thereof, the coupler body has a sidewall defining an adapter-receiving socket therein, and the sealing ring is housed within the coupler body and captured between an end wall flange of the coupler body at a base of the adapter-receiving socket and a radially inward extending gasket retaining lip of the coupler body spaced from the end wall flange. At least one cam arm and at least one safety-release tab are connected to the sidewall of the coupler body, and at least one vent channel is formed in the sidewall of the coupler body within the adapter-receiving socket and extends from the end wall flange to beyond the gasket retaining lip of the coupler body adjacent an outer periphery of the sealing ring.

Coupling

A quick-disconnect coupling including a hollow coupler body having opposite open ends and defining an adaptor-receiving socket therein, a gasket housed within the coupler body at a base of the adaptor-receiving socket, the gasket having a sealing ring and a bellows portion, and at least one locking tab connected to the coupler body such that the at least one locking tab is able to pivot relative to the coupler body between a locking position and an unlocking position for purposes of locking and releasing an adaptor to the coupler body.
