Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to methods for operating a test bench with a test object having at least two rotating masses connected by means of a loading shaft to a loading maching for driving or loading the test object. The loading maching controlled by a loading machine control unit. In one embodiment, the method includes: applying loads to the test object on the test bench, estimating an internal test object torque, determining a target loading machine speed, determining a shaft torque acting on the loading shaft, determining acceleration torques for accelerating the at least two rotating masses, addind the shaft torque with the correct sign with the correct sign to the acceleration torques, to form a corrected internal effective test object torque, and determining the target loading machine speed from the corrected internal effective test object torque or a torque derived therefrom.

Method for operating a test bench in order to determine a torque and a speed

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a test bench and methods for carrying out a test run on a test bench. In one example embodiment, a test run method includes: connecting a test object to a load machine, specifying a target torque for a torque controller by a test bench automation unit according to the test run, adjusting an actual torque of the load machine by the torque controller, specifying a test object control variable for the test object by a test object controller, determining an actual rotational speed of the load machine, determining at least one deviation of at least one attribute of the actual rotational speed from at least one threshold value, and based on the at least one deviation, and determining at least one additive torque correction value and superimposing the at least one additive torque correction value on the target torque.

Test bench and method for carrying out a test run on a test bench

To improve the identification of system parameters of a test setup of a test bench there is provision for the test setup to be dynamically excited on the test bench by virtue of a dynamic input signal being applied to the test setup. Measured values of the input signal of the test setup and of a resultant output signal of the test setup are recorded. A frequency response of the dynamic response of the test setup between the output signal and the input signal is determined using a nonparametric identification method. A model structure of a parametric model that maps the input signal onto the output signal is derived from the frequency response. The model structure and a parametric identification method are used to determine at least one system parameter of the test setup, and the at least one identified system parameter is used to perform the test run.

Test bench and method for performing a dynamic test run for a test setup

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a method for controlling the torque of a drive unit on a test stand. Accordingly, one embodiment of the present disclosure is a method for controlling an inner effective torque of the drive unit via a unit controlling unit, wherein an inner effective desired torque is determined from the given courses of the rotational speed and the torque of the drive unit and a known mass inertia of the drive unit, and an inner effective actual torque is determined during the operation of the drive unit on the test stand from measured values of the load machine and/or of the drive unit and/or of the connecting shaft and/or of a known mass inertia of the drive unit.

Test run method and test stand

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to controlling an inner effective torque or an effective torque of a drive unit via a unit controlling unit. In some embodiments, the control method may include providing desired values for the inner effective torque or the effective torque and determining actual values for the inner effective torque or the effective torque during operation of the drive unit on a test stand, and in that actuating dynamics of the drive unit are taken into account in the control by means of a transfer function by correcting the desired values of the control with the transfer function or in that for controlling the inner effective torque or the effective torque of the drive unit, a feed forward control of a manipulated variable of the drive unit is used.
