In some implementations, a mobile computing device may participate in the calibration of an output signal of a media device. This calibration process includes storing device-specific calibration data which is related to properties of a light sensor of the mobile device. The mobile device then detects of properties of light emitted by the display device during a presentation to obtain sensor values related to light emitted by the display device during the presentation. The calibration process may also ensure that the mobile device is proximate to the display device prior to obtaining the sensor values. The collected sensor values are adjusted using device-specific calibration data stored to the mobile device to normalize the sensor values relative to a baseline. These normalized sensor values are sent to the media device for use in adjusting the output signal based on the normalized sensor values.

Adjusting signal settings for a display using a light sensor

Systems and methods for receiving and displaying images or sending the images for display include images having multiple key images of an object. Each key image depicts a perspective view of an item from a different angle around the object. The multiple key images are displayed in a gallery view. During the gallery view, multiple supplementary images are received or sent. Each supplementary image includes a perspective view of the object from an angle between adjacent angles used for the key images. After transmission of at least some of the supplementary images, the key images and the supplementary images are mixed into a rotational view of the object.

Systems and methods for transforming and sending generic content into a platform-specific format or receiving pre-transformed platform-specific content. The generic content and platform-specific format includes one or more tiles that are modified as part of the transformation. An electronic device requests content, and a smart tile processor converts the generic content to platform-specific content before sending the platform-specific content to the requesting electronic device.
