The MPM computer device is configured to receive a first engineering design for a first configuration of a product to be assembled including a plurality of features, determine a plurality of parts associated with the plurality of features based on the received engineering design, and prior to completion of a manufacturing process plan, generate a manufacturing bill of materials based on the determined plurality of parts.

A method for identifying and measuring a feature on tessellated geometry may include providing an image of a part on a display using an electronic representation of the part. The part may include a tessellated geometry. The electronic representation of the tessellated geometry of the part may include a collection of triangles defined by vertices of each triangle. The method may also include receiving selection of a feature on the tessellated geometry of the part. A first triangle of the collection of triangles that is associated with the selected feature is chosen and at least a first vertex and a second vertex of the first triangle are determined. A predefined normal to each of the vertices is also determined. The predefined normals from at least two of the vertices are used to identify and measure the feature of the part.

Identifying a selected feature on tessellated geometry

An apparatus, system, and method for distributing authority for data objects. Each of the data objects in a replication set is stored at a different data storage site and comprises a copy of a content. An edit authority is assigned to only one of the data storage sites at a time using an edit authority object corresponding to the replication set that is transferable between the data storage sites. Responsive to a change to the content of a data object located at a particular data storage site having the edit authority, an update is propagated to a remaining portion of the data storage sites to affect eventual consistency of the replication set. Usability of the data objects at the remaining portion of the data storage sites is maintained until the update is received and processed to thereby reduce a time and expense associated with maintaining data consistency.

A harmonic drive apparatus (also known as a strain wave gear) is constructed with a circular, flexible spline disc having a slightly conical configuration. The flexible saline disc has opposite convex and concave surfaces with a plurality of radial, flexible gear teeth arranged circumferentially on the convex surface. The flexible spline disc enables the harmonic drive apparatus to provide a thinner or more compact packing when needed for unique space requirements of a speed reduction transmission.

In response to receiving an identification of the product, a process object associated with the product may be identified. A completed instance of the process object may be created for the product. A set of instructions may be presented to manufacture the product using the completed instance of the process object.
