Disclosed is a field device adapter for wireless data transfer for connection to a field-device-internal interface provided for a display, comprising: an interface for connection to the field-device-internal interface; a radio module configured to wirelessly transmit a data packet on a low-power wide-area network, wherein the radio module is further configured to only transmit the data packet and not to receive any data packets; adapter electronics configured to limit an energy provided via the field-device-internal interface to a predefined value and to charge a stored energy source with the limited energy. The adapter electronics are further configured to monitor a state of charge of the stored energy source and, based on the state of charge, to provide the radio module with an energy originating from the stored energy source for transmitting the data packet.

Field device adapter for wireless data transfer

A method for diagnosing a differential pressure line of a differential pressure measurement arrangement includes capturing a first set number of differential pressure values, which represent a difference between a first media pressure and a second media pressure within a process, and checking whether the differential pressure measurement arrangement and/or the process are in a state that allows a diagnosis of the differential pressure line. Where it is determined that the differential pressure measurement arrangement and/or the process are not in a state that allows a diagnosis of the differential pressure line, the differential pressure values are captured anew such that the previously captured differential pressure values are deleted or overwritten. Otherwise, a diagnostic function to determine whether a differential pressure line is blocked is carried out.

Differential pressure measurement arrangement and method for identifying blocked differential pressure lines

Disclosed is an apparatus for determining and/or monitoring a predetermined fill level of a medium in a containment. The apparatus includes a sensor unit and an electronics unit. The electronics unit includes a limiting unit embodied to limit an electrical current or voltage in at least one portion of the electronics unit, a switching unit embodied to control a process switch, and a signal transformation unit embodied to transform a dynamic, electrical input signal into a static, electrical output signal. The static output signal flows through at least one component of the electronics unit. Furthermore, the electronics unit is embodied to supply the sensor unit with an excitation signal, to receive from the sensor unit a received signal, to determine and/or to monitor whether the predetermined fill level has been reached, and to produce a control signal.

Disclosed is a primary-clocked switching power supply for converting an input voltage into an output voltage, comprising: a primary side circuit branch, where the input voltage can be applied; isolated from the primary side circuit branch, a secondary side circuit branch, where the output voltage is tappable; between the primary side and the secondary side circuit branch, a galvanic isolation; a fuse or circuit breaker arranged in the primary side circuit branch; a first switchable switch element arranged in the primary side circuit branch such that switching trips the primary side fuse or circuit breaker; and a monitoring unit connected with the first switch element and arranged in the primary side circuit branch and adapted to monitor a characteristic electrical signal determined by the second primary winding and, when the characteristic electrical signal exceeds a threshold value, to switch the first switch element.

Differential pressure measuring arrangement

A pressure sensor for determining a pressure measurement variable includes a housing, a pressure sensor element arranged in the housing, a lighting means arranged in the housing and a control/evaluation unit, the pressure sensor element having a semiconductor material and a measuring membrane, which has at least one integrated resistance element. When the measuring membrane experiences a pressure dependent deflection, the control/evaluation unit ascertains using the integrated resistance element, an electrical signal for determining the pressure measurement variable, wherein the lighting means optically excites the integrated resistance element, and the control/evaluation unit ascertains, based on a change of the electrical signal caused by the optical excitation, whether a malfunction of the pressure sensor is present.

Described is an explosion endangered region usable, switching power supply for supplying an output voltage controlled to a desired value, comprising a supply path, which includes a switching controller controlled via a driver, a galvanically isolated transformer connected after the switching controller, and, connected after the transformer, a rectifier-containing, output circuit, and a feedback path, via which the driver is fed a signal transmitted via a light source and a light receiver and reflecting the output voltage, based on which the driver controls the output voltage to the desired value via a corresponding operation of the switching controller. The feedback path includes a voltage regulator, which regulates a supply voltage falling across the light source to a fixed value, and an electrical current regulator, which regulates an electrical current flowing through the light source to an electrical current value corresponding to the output voltage.

A flow-rate measurement assembly for measuring a flow rate of a medium through a measurement pipe, comprising at least one differential-pressure producer, and comprising a differential-pressure measurement transducer for providing a differential-pressure measurement signal, which depends upon the difference between the high-pressure-side media pressure and the low-pressure-side media pressure. The difference is a measure of the flow rate of the medium. The evaluating unit is designed to determine a relationship between the differential-pressure measurement signal and a characteristic parameter of a fluctuation of the differential-pressure measurement signal, to judge the determination of a monotonically decreasing relationship between the differential-pressure measurement signal and the characteristic parameter to be an indication of a clogged high-pressure line, and to judge the determination of a monotonically increasing relationship between the differential-pressure measurement signal and the characteristic parameter, the monotonically increasing relationship of which is significantly stronger than the monotonically increasing relationship of an unclogged flow-rate measurement assembly, as an indication of a clogged low-pressure line.
