A method for interconnecting cell stacks of a battery module in a battery. In the battery module, the cell stacks are arranged in a battery module housing. In each case two cell stacks are arranged next to one another and form a cell stack group, and the two cell stack groups are arranged behind one another. The two cell stacks of the first cell stack group are inserted into the battery module housing. The two cell stacks of the first cell stack group are electrically interconnected via at least one opening arranged in a wall of the battery module housing. The two cell stacks of the second cell stack group are inserted into the battery module housing. Electrically interconnecting the two cell stacks of the second cell stack group to each one of the two cell stacks of the first cell stack group.

Method for interconnecting cell stacks of a battery module in a high-voltage battery

A battery module includes a battery module housing and a battery cell package, which has a plurality of battery cells and is arranged in the battery module housing. The battery cell package is supported on an inner face of the battery module housing at least by way of an outer face. A battery cell monitoring unit is connected to the battery cells via a signal line. A protective plate is arranged on the outer face of the battery cell package that is supported on the inner face of the battery module housing. A recess is provided on the side of the protective plate facing toward or facing away from the battery cell package, in which recess at least one portion of the signal line is arranged.

A traction battery system of an electrically operable motor vehicle is configured in the form of an underfloor battery and has at least one first battery module and one second battery module. The traction battery system includes a battery assistant module that is designed for operating the battery modules. The battery modules and the battery assistant module, which have an assistant module housing, are oriented in series in relation to one another in the direction of a body longitudinal axis of a motor vehicle body, and can be arranged between a first sill and a second sill of the body. The battery assistant module has a load-transmitting element for transmitting forces acting on side elements of the body, which load-transmitting element extends from the first sill to the second sill in the direction of a body transverse axis of the body.

Traction battery system for a motor vehicle and motor vehicle having an electric drive

A battery module () of a traction battery of a motor vehicle has a module housing () that is open at opposite ends and closable at the ends. Multiple battery cells () are received in the module housing () and form battery cell packs (). At least one first battery cell pack () is inserted into the module housing () via a first of the open ends of the module housing (), and at least one second battery cell pack () is inserted into the module housing () via a second of the open ends of the module housing (). At least one centering device () is inserted into an opening () of the module housing (). The at least one centering device () aligns the at least one first battery cell pack () and the at least one second battery cell pack () in the module housing ().
