A hub-bearing assembly serves to rotatably mount a soil-working disc (D) on a supporting axle (A) of an agricultural machine. The assembly comprises a hub-bearing unit () and a sealing device (). The a hub-bearing unit has a radially outer, rotatable outer race () from one side of which a flange () radially extends for mounting a disc (D). The sealing device () is mounted on a side of the hub-bearing unit opposite to the side of the flange (). The radially outer surface of the assembly has a portion () intermediate the flange () and the side of the sealing device (), which is radially recessed so as to serve as a preferential seat for winding wires picked up from the fields during use of the agricultural machine.

Hub-bearing assembly for soil-working discs

A sealing assembly for relatively rotating mechanical members, having a first and a second shield member fitted respectively to a first and a second of the relatively rotating members; and a low-friction-coefficient sealing member. The sealing member has a sealing portion cooperating with the first shield member; a root portion carried integrally by the second shield member; and a connecting portion shaped to define a hinge region between the root portion and the sealing portion.

Sealing assembly for relatively rotating mechanical members

Seal unit for mechanical members rotating relative to each other, in particular foundry rollers, including a tubular member which can be fitted on a first of said rotating members, a first and a second annular sealing member surrounding the tubular member and provided with a first and a second fitting support respectively and corresponding sealing rings of elastomer material. The seal unit also includes an annular spacer member coaxial with the tubular member and acting together with the first and the second support to keep the first and second annular sealing members in their corresponding working positions.

A seal assembly which includes first and second annular screens, mounted facing each other coaxially; the first screen carries a seal member made of an elastomeric material which includes a main annular sealing lip, which extends axially from a root portion secured on a flange portion of the first screen, towards a flange portion of the second screen facing the flange portion of the first screen; the lip includes an enlarged portion radially offset with respect to the root portion and delimited by a circumferential rim and an annular sealing projection with a V-shaped section and its sealing edge oriented axially, the circumferential rim having a radial annular seat for a resilient circumferential retaining member, able to exert a predetermined radial stress on the lip, and the V-shaped projection being arranged alongside the seat for the resilient member, with the sealing edge towards the flange portion of the second screen, with which it cooperates slidably in an axial direction; the enlarged portion of the lip is connected to the root portion by an annular portion shaped to form a resilient hinge, the center of rotation of which is arranged on a line through the said sealing edge and forms an angle &agr; of between 20&deg; and 60&deg; with a radial plane.
