A system and method for the fabrication of high efficiency OLED devices and more specifically, the fabrication of OLED panels optically coupled with impact resistant, transparent structures which permit operation of the OLED panel while providing impact resistance. The OLED device can be built directly on an impact resistant transparent structure, or attached to an impact resistant transparent structure after it is built on other types of substrate. The impact resistant transparent structure can be a toughened layer, such as a glass layer, an energy absorption layer, such as Polycarbonate (PC), or a combination of both. The OLED device is configured to transmit light through the impact resistant transparent structure to the viewer, and the impact resistant transparent structure provides impact resistance for the OLED from the force of any impacting object.

Impact resistant OLED devices

Light emitting devices including sub-pixels having different numbers of emissive layers are provided. At least one sub-pixel of a first color may include a single emissive layer, and at least one sub-pixel of a second color may include multiple emissive layers disposed in a vertical stack. Light emitting devices in which different voltages are applied to each sub-pixel or group of sub-pixels are also provided. In some configurations, the voltage to be applied to a sub-pixel may be selected based upon the number of emissive layers in the sub-pixel.

Lifetime OLED display

Devices suitable for close illumination of an object are provided. Such a device includes a highly transparent electrode and a highly reflective, weakly transmissive electrode, with other OLED layers disposed between them. During operation in close proximity to an object, the object is illuminated by the device, while still allowing a user to see through the device.

Close illumination system

An image processing system includes an image sensor, an OLED display, a profile selection processor configured to select an output profile from among a plurality of pre-stored output profiles based at least in part on a digital representation of a target scene captured by the image sensor, and an image driver configured to drive the OLED display to display an image based on the selected output profile during a capture of an image of the target scene with the image sensor.

Flash optimized using OLED display

An OLED having an organic layer formed of a dopant and a host, where the organic layer is disposed between an anode and a cathode is disclosed. The dopant's concentration level in the organic layer, along a direction perpendicular to the first and second planar surfaces of the organic layer, defines a novel concentration gradient that enhances the OLED's efficiency.

Organic electroluminescent devices

A transparent emissive device is provided. The device may include one or more OLEDs having an anode, a cathode, and an organic emissive layer disposed between the anode and the cathode. In some configurations, the OLEDs may be non-transparent. The device may also include one or more locally transparent regions, which, in combination with the non-transparent OLEDs, provides an overall device transparency of 5% or more. The device also may include a double-sided display capable of displaying different, identical, or related images on each side of the device.

Transparent display and illumination device

Flexible substrates and devices including flexible substrates are provided. In an embodiment, a flexible substrate includes a first glass substrate material and a first organic light emitting device, disposed over the first flexible substrate, which includes a first emissive layer The first flexible substrate may have a thickness of not more than 300 &#x3bc;m, a flexural rigidity of 10Nm to 10Nm, a water vapor transmission rate of not more than 10g per square meter per day, a refractive index of not more than 1.6, a glass transition temperature of at least 300 C, a Young's modulus of 60 to 90 GPa, and/or an optical transmission of at least 85% for light in the range of 400 to 800 nm.

Flexible substrate for OLED device

Devices and fabrication methods thereof are provided which reduce image sticking and/or improve lifetime and performance of blue emissive devices. Each device may include non-common transport layers between emissive devices, one or more optical capping layers, light and deep blue emissive devices, a mixed host emissive layer, a high T1 transport layer, and/or a stacked blue device in conjunction with single emissive layer red and/or green devices. The provided structures may be used individually, in combination, or as a group in a single device.

The response message is configured using an address associated with the host computer.

The present invention relates to an improved order fulfillment system. The system is provided with improved data entry system for selecting items for purchase by a customer, and an improved item collection terminal and order delivery system. The portable terminal to be used for collecting of items is provided with an audio as well as video presentation means which are used to provide assistance to the to terminal user.
