A panoramic telescope of the type having a body to be mounted on a vehicle, a head-piece attached to the body and rotating with respect thereto. A window is provided for observing the external scenery. Inside the head-piece is a mirror for deflecting the incoming beam from the window towards an optical detector.

Panoramic periscope

A panoramic periscope includes a central body ( A) and a rotating head-piece ( ) supported on the central body. Inside the central body, an optical path ( ) for an optical beam (F,) coming from the head-piece ( ) is provided. A viewing module ( ) receives the optical beam, for observing the external scenery. A laser telemeter ( ) is provided and, along the optical path, a separator element ( S) with an inner dichroic surface ( A) is passed through by the optical beam coming from the head-piece ( ). The inner dichroic surface ( A) separates a laser beam coming from the head-piece ( ) and deviating it towards a separate optical path ( ) which conveys the laser beam towards the laser telemeter ( ). The separator element ( ) has an entry surface ( I) and an exit surface ( U) which are parallel with one another and passed through by the optical beam (F ), the surfaces being perpendicular to the optical beam (F ). The internal dichroic surface ( A) is oriented, with respect to the entry surface ( I) so that the laser beam is reflected by the dichroic surface ( A) towards the entry surface ( I) at an angle so as to be reflected entirely by the entry surface ( I) towards a surface ( L) for exiting of the laser beam.
