An inverter unit for a hollow glassware forming machine comprises a supporting structure; a first and a second pick-and-place arm having one or more recesses for picking up glassware and coupled to such supporting structure so as to rotate about a first axis and so as to translate along such first axis between an open position and a closed position; and a centering device having a head, which can rotate about a second axis. The centering device also has a transmission mechanism, which converts the rotary motion of the head into a translational motion of the supporting structure along the first axis with respect to a fixed base.

An assembly for controlling the weight of a glass gob on a glassware molding machine has a punch for at least partly penetrating the gob and controlled by a fluidic linear actuator having an outer sleeve of paramagnetic material, and a piston which slides inside the sleeve; the piston being connected integrally to the punch; and movement of the piston being controlled by a linear transducer having a movable member fitted to the piston, and a fixed member located outside the sleeve.

Glass gob weight control assembly for a glassware molding machine

The present invention relates to a system for aligning and positioning a male mechanism-pneumatic or servo-electric-to be used at the blank station side of a section of a hollow glass forming machine. The system comprises a mechanism, comprising at least one plunger or a driving unit driven by a servomotor, a guide flange composed of an internal flange for retaining the mechanism in position, and an external flange. The system further comprises a base plate for supporting the mechanism. The plate is mounted on at least one guide bar, rigidly fixed to the resting face of the external flange and intended to allow the base plate to slide along a sliding direction substantially orthogonal to the plane wherein the external flange lies. The base plate rests on a height adjustment group, suspended to said upper plane and intended to move the plate along the guide.

Machine for the production of hollow glass

A rough mold of a machine for forming glass items is provided with a multifunctional group, which has a common support head; a handling device for moving the common head along a first handling axis; and a further handling device for rotating the common head about a second handling axis; the common head being fitted with a mold closing member for sealing the top opening of the rough mold, and at least one further operating member selectable from a funnel-shaped member for guiding at least one glass gob into the rough mold, a blowing member for blowing pressurized air into the rough mold, and one or more members for treating the inner surface of the rough mold.

Multifunctional group for a glass items forming machine

An assembly for transferring glass articles, wherein a powered articulated arm is hinged to a fixed support to rotate about a fixed hinge axis, and moves a pusher between an engage position engaging the articles on a supporting surface, and a release position to release the articles onto a linear conveyor; the pusher, in the release position, projects from the articulated arm, in the travelling direction of the articles on the conveyor, beyond a plane containing the fixed hinge axis and perpendicular to the travelling direction of the articles on the conveyor, so that the centre of gravity of the group of articles transferred is located downstream, in the travelling direction of the articles on the conveyor, from the plane containing the fixed hinge axis.

Method and transfer assembly for transferring glass articles

A rough mold of a machine for forming glass items is provided with a multifunctional group, which has a common support head; a handling device for moving the common head along a first handling axis; and a further handling device for rotating the common head about a second handling axis. The common head being fitted with a mold closing member for sealing the top opening of the rough mold, and at least one further operating member selectable from a funnel-shaped member for guiding at least one glass gob into the rough mold, a blowing member for blowing pressurized air into the rough mold, and one or more members for treating the inner surface of the rough mold.

Protected hollow glassware take-out device, in particular for a hollow glassware molding machine

In a machine for forming glass items, a mold having two half-molds movable between a closed forming position and an open extraction position by a mold opening/closing group is provided. The mold includes two handling arms, each connected to a respective half-mold, which are rotated about respective fixed hinge axes by a single linear actuator. The mobile member translates in a direction parallel to the fixed hinge axes, and is connected to the handling arms by a mechanical transmission having a respective guide-and-slide assembly for each handling arm.

Molds opening/closing group of a forming glass machine items

A mold of a glassware molding machine has two half-molds movable between a closed molding position and an open extraction position by a mold opening/closing assembly, wherein two actuating arms, each fitted to a respective half-mold, are rotated about respective fixed hinge axes by an actuator assembly having a central linear actuator, and two lateral linear actuators located substantially on opposite sides of the central actuator; the actuators having respective movable members translating respectively along a central axis and two lateral axes parallel to one another and to the fixed hinge axes; and the central axis being located at a distance from a plane of the lateral axes.
