A magnetic device and method for making it involve a magnetic device specifically constructed of grains in a matrix. The matrix may be cement or plaster. The grains have an average diameter that is greater than their magnetic domains. The device may be applied to shielding applications for frequencies ranging from 100 kHz to 10 GHz. The shielding may be applied to walls of a building, consumer products such as magnetic disks, and the like. The grains may be any ferromagnetic material, including ferrite.

Method for producing a magnetic device

The present invention relates to a magnetic device and method for making it, wherein the magnetic device is specifically constructed of grains in a matrix. The matrix may be cement or plaster. The grains have an average diameter that is greater than their magnetic domains. The device may be applied to shielding applications for frequencies ranging from 100 kHz to 10 GHz. The shielding may be applied to walls of a building, consumer products such as magnetic disks, and the like. The grains may be any ferromagnetic material, including ferrite.

Application and production of a magnetic product

A ferrite core, such as for transformers, has a middle bleb with an oval cross-section or flattened oval cross-section, whereby the longitudinal axis of the middle bleb is oriented parallel to the attachment plane of the transformer and the longest axis of the oval cross-section or flattened oval cross-section is oriented vertically to this attachment plane. The core is symmetrically structured with respect to a mirror plane, which contains the longitudinal axis of the ferrite core and which resides vertically to the attachment plane, and is particularly low in distortion.

A device for dissipating heat from ferrite cores of inductive components is provided. Specifically, in order to dissipate heat from cores made from ferromagnetic material for inductive components, an electrically and thermally conductive layer which can be coupled thermally to a heat sink is provided on prescribed surface areas of the core.

A magnetic field pulse generators has an electrical coil and a magnetizable element being inductively coupled thereto, for together radiating a magnetic field into an external space. In order to switch off the magnetic field in the external space, the magnetizable element can be driven to saturation by a pulsed current in the coil at which the material of the coil core has not yet reached saturation.
