An electroacoustic transducer apparatus which prevents oscillations as a result of acoustic coupling between an acoustic-wave transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter and receiver each comprise an electro-acoustic transducer network. The transducers in each network are arranged so that the phase and amplitude of the signals applied to the transmitter transducers and the signals supplied to an adder circuit by the receiver network transducers (25) to (30) of the receiver network are such that in the oscillation frequency band the radiation pattern of the transmitter network and the directivity pattern of the receiver network are zero in at least one direction. The two networks are arranged relative to each other so that the directions of minimum radiation and directivity correspond to the directions of maximum coupling between the transducers of the two networks.

In a filter in which, in order to obtain the desired filter characteristic, a weighted sum of different signals is formed, it is proposed in accordance with the invention that for the formation of said sum means are employed which are constituted by capacitor circuits, which during a first time interval are each charged by said signals, and by a connection circuit for the formation, during a second time interval, of the equivalent of a single capacitor across whose plates the weighted-sum signal appears. A circuit for converting into an FDM format spatially separated signalling signals and pilot signals, comprises a digital filter bank for converting the signals into the FDM format. A receiver for separating the signalling signals and pilot signals from the FDM signal comprises another digital filter bank for producing baseband signals. These filter banks have a transfer characteristic formed by a number of passband curves which are derived from the characteristic of a selected low-pass filter.

Parallel data transmission system in which the data signals are converted to multilevel digital signals and transmitted through the channels of a frequency division multiplex system. To compensate for the delays between the data signals received in the various channels of the multiplex, a pilot signal is transmitted in each channel in the form of a signal which only has a real component. At the receiver side a filter circuit is used which comprises a first fixed coefficient part at whose input the data signal is multiplied by a component of the received pilot signal and a second part having two variable coefficients which are derived from the two components of the received pilot signal.

An arrangement for digitally processing a given number of analog channel signals, more particularly a digital multiplexer and demultiplexer provided with a number of signal paths each comprising a recursive digital filter and delay circuits arranged in cascade therewith, said filter circuits having an amplitude-frequency characteristic of a lowpass filter having a cut-off frequency which is equal to half the bandwidth of a channel signal and a phase-frequency characteristic which is such that the difference between such a phase-frequency characteristic and the phase-frequency characteristic of a reference digital filter has a sawtooth-shaped variation, the slope of the sawtooth being opposite to the slope of the cooperating delay circuit. The arrangement furthermore comprises in cascade a discrete Fourier transformer connected to the signal paths.
