A method and apparatus for providing a credibility rating and management system. The credibility rating and management system can be shared amongst any number of independent systems. The credibility rating and management system collects data points from each of the participant systems, tracks user profiles across each of the participant systems and generates a rating for each user profile. Associated systems can then query the credibility rating and management system to obtain the credibility rating for a user and incorporate the credibility ratings into their own systems.

Credibility rating algorithm

Some embodiments of an entitlement model have been presented. In one embodiment, a centralized server distributes copies of an operating system from a software vendor to a set of virtual guests of a virtual host running on a physical computing machine. The centralized server and the physical computing machine are coupled to each other within an internal network of a customer of the software vendor, whereas the centralized server has access to the software vendor external to the internal network of the customer. The centralized server may interact with a hypervisor of the physical computing machine to determine what type of license of the operating system the virtual host has and a number of copies of the operating system requested by the virtual guests.

Managing entitlements in a networked environment

A system for full-screen heterogeneous desktop display and control is described. In one implementation, a method includes determining, by a processing device of a computing device, that a source is connecting with the computing device and is a candidate for assignment to a desktop graphical user interface (GUI) of the computing device, when the source is not assigned to an existing desktop GUI, generating, by a desktop manager of the computing device, a new desktop GUI on the computing device for the source, and assigning the new desktop GUI for the source to a scaled representation element in a desktop management interface provided by the desktop manager, the desktop management interface providing a plurality of scaled representation elements for a plurality of desktop GUIs on the computing device.

Full-screen heterogeneous desktop display and control

A method and apparatus for automated project management notification using an update family tree. The system utilizes a set of subscription service managers and a set of message processing managers to automatically manage the inter-relationship between a set of systems belonging to different entities within the overall family tree of entities working on a project. Each subscription service manager tracks the other entities interested in the updates and events from the host of the subscription service manager. The message processing managers receive the update events from the subscription service manager and apply a set of host defined rules that govern the automated processing of the received messages. In turn, the entity hosting each message processing manager may have its own set of subscribers that are managed by their respective subscription service manager.

Project management notification and updates using family tree

Some embodiments of an enhanced exporter tool have been presented. In one embodiment, a connected centralized server is synchronized with an external server of a software vendor over an external network. The connected centralized server may reside in an internal network of a customer of the software vendor. Content from the connected centralized server is exported to a disconnected centralized server of the customer according to a set of criteria. The disconnected centralized server may reside in a secured portion of the internal network of the customer.

Enhanced exporter tool

Some embodiments of supporting trusted relationships between multiple organizations in a networked system have been presented. In one embodiment, a centralized server manages a networked system, which includes the centralized server and a set of computing machines coupled to each other within an internal network of a customer. The centralized server may segregate data and encapsulating resources within the networked system by a set of organizations created by the customer. Furthermore, a trusted relationship defined by a system administrator of the centralized server may be applied to a first one and a second one of the set of organizations.

The automated task delegation and project management system tracks user profiles and project profiles, which include information about the interests and skills each user in the system possesses as well as the skills that are required by each project in the system and the characteristics of each project. This information can then be utilized to correlate user interests and skills with the available projects. Project data can be collected from the submitter to enable the automated matching. The user interface facilitates the collection and storage of the project profile data including tasks, files, resources, and tags.

A computer system provides a plug-in architecture for creation of a dynamic font. The computer system can incorporate a new filter function into a filtering layer of a font program. The filtering layer includes pre-defined filter functions to transform a base font into a new font. The computer system applies one or more font rules in the filtering layer to the base font. The font rules are implemented by the new filter function and at least one of the pre-defined filter functions to randomize an appearance of each character in a character string. The character string rendered with the new font has a dynamic and randomized appearance.

Plug-in architecture for dynamic font rendering enablement

Described herein is a method and apparatus for generating and managing multiple desktops. The desktops can be tied to virtual software environments, remote desktops, separate user account desktops, shared desktops, full screen applications or similar sources. The desktops are managed through a desktop management interface that displays a scale image of each current desktop. The desktops can also be marked by type in the interface. The desktop management system queries a user during start-up for each program to determine whether a new desktop is to be generated for the program. The desktop management system also manages the switching between the available desktops.

Some embodiments of multiple organization support in a networked system have been presented. In one embodiment, a centralized server manages a networked system, which includes the centralized server and a set of computing machines coupled to each other within an internal network of a customer. The centralized server segregates data within the networked system by grouping data into the concept of an organization created by the customer in order to isolate the organizations.

Some embodiments of virtualization management using a centralized server have been presented. In one embodiment, a centralized server obtains metadata of an operating system and information on provisioning computing resources from a software vendor. The centralized server is deployed within an internal network of a customer of the software vendor, where the internal network further includes a set of at least one physical machine. The centralized server may further generate a graphical user interface to allow users of the centralized server to manage a set of virtual machines running on the set of at least one physical machine. The set of virtual machines may include at least one virtual host and at least one virtual guest.
