A method performed by a computer processing system includes associating a first workspace with a first graphical object of a workspace widget, the workspace widget being provided to a user through a graphical user interface (GUI). The method further includes receiving an input from a user to switch to a second workspace, providing the second workspace to the user through the GUI, moving the first graphical object from a first position in the workspace widget to a second position in the workspace widget, adding a second graphical object to the workspace widget at the first position, the second graphical object being associated with the second workspace.

Multiple applications may execute on a computing device and the computing system may monitor the multiple applications, identify a set e applications generating sound and determine whether at least one sound related criterion is satisfied. Providing centralized message notification for user interface is described. A method includes receiving a plurality of message notifications. The plurality of message notifications are generated in an operating system and an application. The method also includes comparing content of a message corresponding to a message notification among the plurality of message notifications with a plurality of rules for analysis of message content. When the content of the message matches with a rule of the plurality of rules, determining whether the matching rule comprises a black list rule. The black list rule comprises excluding the message notification among the plurality of message notifications indicated to be displayed at a user device. The method further includes preventing the message notification among the plurality of message notifications to be displayed at the user device in response to determining that the rule is comprises the black list rule.

Providing centralized message notification

Implementations disclose geographically-aware electronic traveling advertisements. A method includes providing, by a mobile advertising unit, advertisements for display on an electronic display of the mobile advertising unit, wherein the advertisements are stored in a data store of the mobile advertising unit, receiving a priority advertisement and rules corresponding to the priority advertisement, wherein the rules comprise a range of locations that trigger display of the priority advertisement and a time range to trigger display of the priority advertisement, identifying a current location of the mobile advertising unit from a location unit of the mobile advertising unit and a current time, determining that at least one of the current location is within the range of locations of the rules for the priority advertisement or the current time is within the time range of the rules for the priority advertisement, and providing the priority advertisement for display on the electronic display.

Geographically-aware electronic traveling advertisements

A method for software bug resolution includes generating, with a software bug reporting client module, a software bug report for a bug, the bug being detected in a piece of software. The method further includes prompting a user to add information about the bug to the software bug report and sending the software bug report to a bug reporting entity to be presented as a post on a feed, the feed associated with the bug reporting entity. The method further includes receiving, from the bug reporting entity, a notification of a response to the post, and pushing, through the software bug reporting client module, the notification to the user.

The plurality of message notifications are generated in an operating system and an application. The method also includes comparing content of a message corresponding to one of the plurality of message notifications with a plurality of regexp based rules. Each of the regexp based rules comprise a condition that is regexp based. When the content of the message matches with a matching regexp based rule of the plurality of regexp based rules, determining whether the condition in the matching regexp based rule is associated with a black list rule. The black list rule comprises excluding one or more of the message notifications among the plurality of message notifications indicated by a user to be displayed at a user device. The method further includes preventing the one of the plurality of message notifications to be displayed at the user device when the condition in the regexp based rule is associated with the black list rule.

An installer running on a computing device automates crash recovery of attended operating system installations. The installer initializes a provisioning event of an application on a computing device, presents an application configuration option for the application, receives a decision corresponding to the application configuration option, provisions the application based upon the decision, and updates an answer file with the decision. The installer also, in response to a detected provisioning event failure, generates a custom answer file, initializes a new provisioning event of the application on the computing device, detects the custom answer file, and provisions the application according to the custom answer file.

Crash recovery for attended operating system installations

A mechanism for geographically-aware electronic traveling advertisements is disclosed. A method of the invention includes displaying each of a plurality of advertisements on an electronic display of a mobile advertising unit in a general rotation and on a random basis, determining a current location of the mobile advertising unit from a Geographic Positioning System (GPS) unit and a current time from a clock, interrupting the general rotation to display a high priority advertisement if the current location of the mobile advertising unit is within a GPS waypoint range of the high-priority advertisement, interrupting the general rotation to display a high priority advertisement if the current time of the mobile advertising unit is within a time range of the high-priority advertisement, and recording statistics for each advertisement displayed on the electronic display in a log stored at the mobile advertising unit.
