A connector fastener extension system includes a cabling system having a cable. A cable connector is included on the cable. A connector fastener extension system is integrated on the cable connector. A fastener base on the connector fastener extension system includes the cable connector and is configured to rotate relative to the cable. A fastener extension member on the connector fastener extension system is moveably coupled to the fastener base and is configured to move away from the cable connector and towards the cable. Rotation of the fastener extension member is configured to cause rotation of the fastener base and the cable connector relative to the cable.

A power supply system includes an AC input device/DC input device connector having an AC input device sub-connector and a DC input device sub-connector, an AC power supply subsystem configured to perform first power operation(s) on first power received from the AC input device sub-connector, and a DC power supply subsystem configured to perform second power operation(s) on second power received from the DC input device sub-connector. When an AC input device is coupled to the AC input device sub-connector, an AC-or-DC power supply subsystem in the power supply system performs third power operation(s) on the first power received from the AC power supply subsystem, and supplies it to component(s). A networking module cooling system includes a networking module connected to a networking device, and a temperature-based heat sink airflow channel adjustment system coupled to the networking module. The temperature-based heat sink airflow channel adjustment system includes a heat sink base, fixed heat sink fin subsystem(s) extending from the heat sink base and defining a first heat sink airflow sub-channel, and moveable heat sink fin subsystem(s) coupled to the heat sink base and defining a second heat sink airflow sub-channel adjacent the first heat sink airflow sub-channel. A heat-activated actuator subsystem coupled to the heat sink base is configured, in response to the heat sink base receiving heat generated by the networking module, to move the moveable heat sink fin subsystem(s) relative to the fixed heat sink fin subsystem(s) to adjust a size of a heat sink airflow channel provided by the first and second heat sink airflow sub-channels.

A vibration-based location indication system includes a computing system that is coupled to a management system via a network. The computing system includes a computing system vibration device, and a computing system location indication subsystem that is coupled to the network and the computing system vibration device. The computing system location indication subsystem receives a computing system location indication instruction to indicate a location of the computing system from the management system via the network and, based on the computing system location indication instruction, drives the computing system vibration device to produce a vibration that is configured to indicate the location of the computing system.

A computing system locating system includes a computing system having a computing system light emitting device that is configured to emit light to provide a computing system locating signal, and a vibration-based location indication system. The vibration-based location indication system includes a light detection subsystem that is configured to detect the computing system locating signal via the light emitted from the computing system light emitting device on the computing system, and a vibration subsystem that is configured to vibrate. A location indication subsystem in the vibration-based location indication system that is coupled to the light detection subsystem and the vibration subsystem determines that the light detection subsystem has detected the computing system locating signal via the light emitted from the computing system light emitting device on the computing system and, in response, drives the vibration subsystem to produce a vibration to indicate the location of the computing system.

A pluggable terminal block short circuit prevention system includes a pluggable terminal block having a computing device connector with positive and negative power sub-connectors that connect to a pluggable terminal block connector on a computing device. A power system connector is included on the pluggable terminal block and includes terminal block positive and negative power contacts that are coupled to the positive and negative power sub-connectors on the computing device connector, respectively. The power system connector couples to a power system via power cabling having a power cabling connector that includes power cabling connector positive and negative power contacts that are configured to engage the terminal block positive and negative power contacts when the power cabling connector is connected to the power system connector, with the power cabling connector preventing relative movement between the power cabling connector positive and negative power contacts.

A connector fastener extension system includes a connector fastener extension system having a fastener base and a fastener extension member. The fastener base defines a cable connector housing and a cable connector aperture adjacent the cable connector housing, with the fastener base configured to connect to a cable connector located on an end of a cable by positioning the cable connector in the cable connector housing such that at least a portion of the cable connector extends through the cable connector aperture. The fastener extension member is moveably coupled to the fastener base and configured to move away from the fastener base and towards the cable when the cable connector is connected to the fastener base, with rotation of the fastener extension member configured to cause rotation of the fastener base and the cable connector relative to the cable when the cable connector is connected to the fastener base.

Methods and systems for managing data access based threats are disclosed. To manage the data access based threats, a data processing system may include a network interface controller (NIC). The network interface controller may present emulated storages that may be used for data storage. The emulated storage devices may utilize storage resources of storage devices. The NIC may actively screen for access patterns in use of the emulated storage devices that indicate compute complexes may be compromised. When doing so, the processing may be done locally on the NIC.

System and method for threat detection through data storage analysis

A timing signal diagnostic system includes a chassis housing an input system that receives a timing signal, a timing system that receives the timing signal from the input system, an analog-to-digital converter system that receives the timing signal from the input system, and a processing system that is coupled to the timing system and the analog-to-digital converter system. The processing system uses the timing system to output reference time signals to the analog-to-digital converter system that are based on the timing signal, and uses the analog-to-digital converter system to sample the timing signal based on the reference time signals over a plurality of different timing signal cycles. Based on the sampling of the timing signal, the processing system generates a waveform for the timing signal, and provides a timing signal diagnostic result based on the waveform for the timing signal.

Techniques are provided for implementing a distributed hierarchical cluster management system. A system comprises a data storage system and a cluster management system. The data storage system comprises a cluster of storage nodes that is partitioned into a plurality of subclusters of storage nodes. The cluster management system is deployed on at least some of the storage nodes of the data storage system, and comprises a global management system and a plurality of local management subsystems. Each local management subsystem is configured to manage a respective subcluster of the plurality of subclusters of storage nodes, and communicate with the global management system to provide subcluster status information to the global management system regarding a current state and configuration of the respective subcluster of storage nodes. The global management system is configured to manage the cluster of storage nodes using the subcluster status information provided by the local management subsystems.

A second device mounting subsystem is included on the first rack shelf and that is configurable to mount each of a plurality of devices in the first device housing and to the rack in a second orientation that is different than the first orientation.
