Systems and methods for determining Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states for multiple transmission occasions are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device includes: receiving a configuration including: a list of TCI states; a TCI activation command in activating a subset of the TCI states and mapping between each of the codepoints to activated TCI states; and a time threshold; receiving in a slot a scheduling message scheduling the transmission occasions; determining time offsets between receiving the scheduling message and each transmission occasion; determining a TCI state for each transmission occasion if at least one time offset is less than the time threshold; and receiving the transmission occasions with the determined TCI states. The proposed solutions ensure consistent UE behavior and allow for more robust PDSCH transmission over multiple TRPs.

Systems and methods for determining TCI states for multiple transmission occasions

A method for differentiating multiple Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) transmission schemes for transmission of data for an over-the-top (OTT) service. In a non-limiting example, the PDSCH transmission schemes include a spatial multiplexing transmission scheme, a frequency multiplexing transmission scheme, a slot-based time multiplexing transmission scheme, and a mini-slot-based time multiplexing transmission scheme. In examples discussed herein, a User Equipment (UE) can be configured to differentiate the PDSCH transmission schemes based on information indicated in Downlink Control Information (DCI) for scheduling a PDSCH transmission, information signaled to the UE via a higher layer configuration, and/or capability signaling indicated from the UE to a network. By differentiating the PDSCH transmission schemes, the UE can efficiently receive a data transmission(s) from multiple Transmission/Reception Points (TRPs) to obtain user data from the OTT service.

Method for differentiating multiple physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission schemes

Methods and apparatuses disclosed herein enable the use of Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) sequences that are numbered relative to an overall system bandwidth, while simultaneously enabling wireless communication devices to determine the DRMS sequence elements mapped to their scheduled bandwidths within the system bandwidth. Advantageously, the wireless communication devices need not know the system bandwidth, or even be aware of where their scheduled bandwidths reside within the system bandwidth.

Methods and apparatuses for signaling and determining reference signal offsets

Methods for scheduling mixed type traffics via multiple Transmission/Reception Points (TRPs) are provided. In embodiments disclosed herein, a base station provides, and a wireless device receives, a scheduling information for scheduling the mixed type traffics with different Quality of Service (QoS) requirements via multiple TRPs. In a non-limiting example, the mixed type traffics include an enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) service and an Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communication (URLLC) traffic service, and the scheduling information can be conveyed in a single Downlink Control Information (DCI) or a pair of DCIs. As such, it is possible to enable efficient scheduling of both eMBB traffic and URLLC traffics simultaneously. As a result, it is possible to satisfy a reliability requirement of the URLLC service without sacrificing spectral efficiency and/or throughput of the eMBB service.

Multi TRP based scheduling of mixed type traffics

Systems and methods for Phase Tracking Reference Signal (PTRS) to Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) association when two or more Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states are indicated for a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) transmission in a cellular communications system are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a WCD comprises receiving a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) comprising Downlink Control Information (DCI) that indicates two Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states for a PDSCH transmission to the WCD and DMRS ports within a single Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) group. The method further comprises determining a PTRS port to DMRS port association for the PDSCH transmission, wherein a single PTRS port is used for the PDSCH transmission and determining the PTRS port to DMRS port association comprises determining that the single PTRS port is associated with a lowest indexed DMRS port in the DMRS ports indicated in the DCI.

There is disclosed a method of operating a transmitting radio node in a wireless communication network. The method includes transmitting data signaling utilising a plurality of transmission sources, wherein the data signaling represents a plurality of code blocks. Modulation symbols of a modulation symbol sequence are mapped to the plurality of transmission sources in c-tuples, the modulation symbol sequence representing the plurality of code blocks in which c is dependent on the modulation used for transmitting the signaling. Data signaling for wireless communication networks

A method for a UE in a multiple transmission points communication system, mTRP, scheme, is provided. The method includes receiving downlink control information, DCI, indicating at least two transmission points scheme for a scheduled data transmission on physical resource blocks, PRBs. The PRBs includes at least a first subsets of PRBs, associated with a first transmission point, and a second subset of PRBs, associated with a second transmission point. The method further includes determining a first PT-RS frequency density for the first set of PRBs based on the number of PRBs in the first set of PRBs and a second PT-RS frequency density based on the number of PRBs in the second set of PRBs. Determining phase tracking reference signals in multiple transmission points

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. According to one or more embodiments, a network node configured to communicate with a wireless device is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to: trigger a first aperiodic, AP, reference signal transmission using a reference signal trigger state; and trigger a second AP reference signal transmission using the reference signal trigger state associated with the first AP reference signal transmission, the second AP reference signal transmission is configured to use at least one different frequency resource than the first AP reference signal transmission.

System and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system

A technique for transmitting and receiving a configuration message for a phase tracking reference signal, PT-RS, on a radio channel between a radio access node and a radio device is described. The radio channel comprises a plurality of subcarriers in a physical resource block, PRB. A subset of the subcarriers in the PRB is allocated to a demodulation reference signal, DM-RS. As to a method aspect of the technique, the configuration message is transmitted to the radio device. The configuration message comprises a bit field that is indicative of at least one subcarrier allocated to the PT-RS among the subset of subcarriers allocated to the DM-RS.

Technique for configuring a phase tracking reference signal

A network node signals to a wireless communication device which precoders in a codebook are restricted from being used. The network node in this regard generates codebook subset restriction signaling that, for each of one or more groups of precoders, jointly restricts the precoders in the group by restricting a certain component (e.g., a certain beam precoder) that the precoders in the group have in common. This signaling may be for instance rank-agnostic signaling that jointly restricts the precoders in a group without regard to the precoders' transmission rank. Systems and methods for non-codebook based multiple transmission and reception point (TRP) Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission and reception are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving a configuration of first and second Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resource sets to be used for non-codebook based PUSCH transmission. The method further comprises receiving a configuration of first and second Non-Zero Power (NZP) Channel State Information Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) associated with the first and SRS resource sets, respectively. The method further comprises receiving a request for transmitting data in PUSCH in a plurality of occasions, wherein the request comprises first and second SRS resource indicators (SRIs) associated with the first and second SRS resource sets, respectively. Non-codebook based multi-TRP PUSCH reliability with multiple associated NZP CSI-RSs

A user equipment (UE) is configured to enhance Demodulation Reference Signals (DM-RS) in order to reduce the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) to the same level as for data symbols. To accomplish this function, the UE obtains a first initialization value that is calculated based on one of a first parameter (e.g., cell ID) and a second parameter and a scrambling code ID. The UE then maps the first initialization value to either a first Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) group or a second CDM group based on the scrambling code ID. The mapping associates the first initialization value with the first or second CDM group such that the initialization value is used when generating a demodulation sequence for that CDM group.
