Systems and methods related to sub-slot Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) repetitions are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device for sub-slot PUCCH repetitions comprises receiving one or more sub-slot PUCCH repetition configurations from a base station and transmitting two or more sub-slot PUCCH repetitions in accordance with one of the one or more sub-slot PUCCH repetition configurations. In this manner, sub-slot PUCCH transmissions can be made to be more reliable or have better coverage.

Systems and methods related to sub-slot physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) repetitions

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. A network node configured to communicate with a wireless device (WD) is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to cause the network node to: indicate a splitting of an initial physical shared channel allocation that crosses a slot boundary into at least a first physical shared channel allocation in a first slot and a second physical shared channel allocation in a second slot; and communicate with the wireless device, WD, according to the at least the first physical shared channel allocation and the second physical shared channel allocation.

A system and method for selecting a number of cyclic redundancy check bits in a communication system. In one embodiment, an apparatus operating in a communication system is configured to receive scheduling information from the communication system, and determine an information block length (K) and/or code rate (R) for a code block including a sequence of data bits from the scheduling information. The apparatus is further configured to determine a number of cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits as a function of the information block length (K) and/or code rate (R) for the code block.

Techniques for enhancing performance in Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) scenarios, including techniques for time-sensitive networking (TSN) and 5G wireless network integration. An example method, performed by a wireless device, comprises receiving system information (SI) from a radio base station (RBS) of a radio access network (RAN), the SI being indicative of support for TSN through the RBS, and establishing at least one TSN stream with an external data network, through the RBS. The example method further includes receiving a first timing signal from the wireless communications network, via the RBS, receiving a second timing signal from the external TSN data network to which the wireless device is connected, comparing the first timing signal to the second timing signal to determine an offset, and transmitting the offset to the wireless communications network.

Industrial automation with 5G and beyond

A method for repeating a Transport Block (TB) over multiple transmission occasions. The method includes exchanging specific signaling between a wireless device (e.g., a user equipment) and a network node (e.g., a base station) to repeat same or different redundancy versions of the TB in multiple non-overlapping transmission occasions (e.g., mini-slots) corresponding to multiple Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states and having different start positions. More specifically, the network node transmits a Time Domain Resource Allocation (TDRA) to indicate the multiple non-overlapping transmission occasions and the wireless device receives the TDRA indicating the multiple non-overlapping transmission occasions. Accordingly, the wireless device can receive repetition of the TB according to the TDRA. By indicating transmission occasions in the TDRA, it is possible to efficiently schedule multiple transmission occasions over the multiple TCI states, thus helping to improve efficiency, reliability, and coverage in a wireless communications network.

Method for repeating a transport block (TB) over multiple transmission/reception points (TRPs)

A method by a wireless device includes determining a value of a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) request field size. The wireless device receives downlink control information (DCI) from a network node. The DCI is received according to a format. The wireless device selects a SRS resource set based on the format of the DCI and the value of the SRS request field size.

Configuration of downlink control information formats

A method for use in a transmitter includes sending a transmission comprising a transport block (TB) comprising a plurality of code blocks (CBs) arranged in one or more code block groups (CBGs). Each code block group includes one or more code blocks and each code block includes a plurality of coded bits. The transmission is sent to a receiver configured to use multi-bit hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback per transport block. The method further includes receiving HARQ ACK or NACK feedback from the receiver one or more of the one or more code block groups of the transport block. The method further includes determining a number of code blocks or code block groups to send to the receiver in a retransmission based on at least the received HARQ ACK or NACK feedback.

HARQ handling for nodes with variable processing times

Methods for scheduling mixed type traffics via multiple Transmission/Reception Points (TRPs) are provided. In embodiments disclosed herein, a base station provides, and a wireless device receives, a scheduling information for scheduling the mixed type traffics with different Quality of Service (QoS) requirements via multiple TRPs. In a non-limiting example, the mixed type traffics include an enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) service and an Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communication (URLLC) traffic service, and the scheduling information can be conveyed in a single Downlink Control Information (DCI) or a pair of DCIs. As such, it is possible to enable efficient scheduling of both eMBB traffic and URLLC traffics simultaneously. As a result, it is possible to satisfy a reliability requirement of the URLLC service without sacrificing spectral efficiency and/or throughput of the eMBB service.

Multi TRP based scheduling of mixed type traffics

A set of resources, e.g. time and frequency resources, used for configured grants for a group of user equipments (UEs) is signalled to a second group of UEs. The second group of UEs consider the signalled set of resources to be reserved, and, therefore, avoid transmitting anything on the set of resources even if they are scheduled to do so.

Methods of signaling reserved resources for ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) traffic

Systems and methods for adapting a timer(s) for a satellite-based radio access network are disclosed. Embodiments of a method performed by a user equipment or a base station and corresponding embodiments of a user equipment or a base station are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a user equipment or a bases station comprises obtaining an amount of resources elements available and determining a transport block size based on the amount of resources elements available. In some embodiments, repetitions are used. In some embodiments, obtaining the available resource elements amount is based on at least one of: one or more explicit calculations and/or one or more signaled scaling factor(s). In some embodiments, the method further comprises determining (or selecting) a modulation and code rate (MCS) based on the amount of resources elements available.

Transport block size determination for repetition

Modification of uplink (UL) data transmission with repetition in response to preemption indication is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a wireless device modifies UL data transmission with repetition responsive to receiving a preemption indication. The wireless device begins a UL data transmission comprising a plurality of repetitions of a data transmission, wherein at least two (2) repetitions are associated with different Redundancy Version (RV) values. The wireless device receives a first preemption indication during a first repetition of the plurality of repetitions, wherein the first repetition is associated with a RV value of X, and X is a positive integer. The wireless device then retransmits the first repetition of the UL data transmission reusing the RV value of X. In some embodiments, after receiving the first preemption indication, the wireless device may cancel the UL data transmission if a code rate of the UL data transmission exceeds a threshold rate.

According to some embodiments, a method for use in a wireless transmitter of a wireless communication network comprises encoding information bits using a parity check matrix (PCM) and transmitting the encoded information bits to a wireless receiver. The parity check matrix (PCM) is optimized according to two or more approximate cycle extrinsic message degree (ACE) constraints. In some embodiments, a first portion of the PCM is optimized according to a first ACE constraint and a second portion of the PCM is optimized according to a second ACE constraint.
