The invention relates to a labelling machine for applying labels onto articles intended to contain a pourable product and comprising a conveyor and a transfer element. The labelling machine also comprises first detection means, arranged peripherally to the transfer element in a position downstream of an application station and upstream of a receiving station, relatively to an advancement direction. The first detection means is configured to detect the single labels still retained in use and to generate a presence signal correlated with the presence of the labels, by the lateral surface downstream of the application station. The labelling machine comprises second detection means arranged in a position downstream of the receiving station and upstream of the application station, relatively to the advancement direction, and configured to detect a positioning of each label onto the lateral surface and to generate a positioning signal correlated with the positioning of each label.

Labelling machine and method for handling a web-like labelling material in an automated labelling process

Disclosed is a labelling machine for articles containing pourable product, comprising: a first endless conveyor to advance a number of articles along part of an endless article path, from an input station to an application station and from the application station to an output station; and a second endless conveyor to advance a number of labels along part of an endless label path, from a receiving station to the application station; the first conveyor comprises an article holding device movably coupled to the first conveyor, configured to carry one respective article from the input station to the output station and controllable along the article path by means of magnetic-inductive interaction; the second conveyor comprises a label holding device movably coupled to the second conveyor, to carry one respective label from the receiving station to the application station and controllable along the label path by means of magnetic-inductive interaction.

Labelling machine configured to apply labels onto articles for containing a pourable product

There is disclosed a labelling group for advancing a series of labels to be applied onto relative articles. In one implementation, the labelling group may include a first drum adapted to convey a strip of labels along a first path and towards a transfer station; a cutting mechanism adapted to cut a sequence of single labels from the strip; a second drum fed by first drum with cut single labels at the transfer station and adapted to convey simultaneously a required number of cut single labels along a second path. The first drum may move at a first tangential speed at the transfer station, and the second drum may move at a second tangential speed at the transfer station, where the first tangential speed is different from the second tangential speed and is adjusted on the basis of required number of cut labels to be simultaneously conveyed on second drum.

Labelling group and method for applying a plurality of labels onto respective articles

A machine for processing containers is disclosed. The machine has a conveying device and at least one processing unit coupled to the conveying device to be carried along a processing path. The processing unit is provided with: a winding element, having an outer lateral surface designed to receive, and cause winding of, a portion of labelling material in a tubular configuration with opposite ends overlapped, and a top surface designed to support a bottom portion of a container to be processed; a sealing device including a sealing element having a functional surface adapted to cooperate with said portion wound about said winding body for performing a welding process of the overlapped ends, as the processing unit is carried along the path, to form a sleeve label; and a displacement device, operable to cause a relative displacement between the sleeve label and the container.

Machine for processing containers having an improved control architecture

A gluing system for applying glue on products is disclosed. The gluing system includes a glue applicator configured to deposit melted glue on products, a glue container configured to contain excess melted glue discharged from the applicator and fresh melted glue, a glue delivering unit configured to deliver glue from the container to the applicator and a glue discharging unit configured to convey excess glue not used by the applicator to the container. The container is divided by a partition into a first chamber, containing the fresh melted glue, and into a second chamber containing the excess melted glue and separated from the first chamber. The partition includes a filter allowing flow of the fresh melted glue and the excess melted glue from both the first and second chambers to the delivering unit.

Gluing system for applying glue on bottle labels

A labelling unit comprises: support means, a receiving member, adapted to carry an article on a top end and to receive a label on a lateral surface, and supported by the support means in a translating and rotating manner with respect to a given axis, driving means including a driving shaft carried by the support means in a rotating manner about the axis and engaging an axial hole of the receiving member, and releasable fastening means to connect the driving shaft to the receiving member in a predetermined axial position. The releasable fastening means comprise a spline element movable transversely to the axis between a retaining position, in which the spline element locks axially the receiving member onto the driving shaft, and a release position, in which the spline element allows extraction of the receiving member from the driving shaft and the support means along the axis.

An example includes a method for forming tubular lengths of linear web material. The example can include winding a portion of linear web material in a tubular configuration such that opposite vertical ends of said linear portion overlap. The example can include welding said overlapping ends to fix said linear portion of linear web material in sleeve configuration. This welding can include heating up at a first temperature a first region of said portion over the whole of which said ends overlap and heating up at a second temperature lower than said first temperature a second region of said portion adjacent to said first region, said ends of said portion of linear web material overlapping over only a part of said second region.

There is described a unit for applying glue on a plurality of labels to be cold-glued on respective containers and for conveying labels applied with glue, comprising: a roll covered of glue and operable to rotate about a first axis; a first carousel operable to rotate about a second axis and which comprises, in turn, a plurality of paddles adapted to cooperate with roll to be covered with glue and to take a relative label from a storage; a second carousel operable to rotate about a third axis and which comprises, in turn, a plurality of hooks adapted to receive respective labels covered with glue from respective paddles and to move respective labels with glue applied thereon along a first path; at least a first belt operatively connected to first carousel and to one between roll and second carousel.

There is disclosed a labelling machine for applying sleeve labels on respective articles, comprising: a conveyor movable along a path comprising, in turn, a first inlet station for the articles still to be labelled and a second outlet station for the labelled articles; the conveyor comprises a handling device adapted to displace at least one first of the sleeve label and the article still to be labelled along a first segment of the path, so as to insert the article still to be labelled within the sleeve label; the conveyor also comprises a positioning device adapted to actively position a second of the sleeve label and the article in a desired position with respect to the first of the article and the sleeve label along a second segment of the path; the first segment is comprised within the second segment.

The apparatus having: a handling device to advance the new web at the same speed as the web in use and positioning a segment of the new web to overlap a segment of the web in use such that the corresponding patterns align; a cutting device for cutting the overlapping segments of the webs at the area interposed between two successive patterns and dividing each web into an upstream portion and a downstream portion; a folding device for selectively folding either the upstream portion of the web in use and the downstream portion of the new web outside the overlapping area; and an applicator for applying a splicing buffer on the adjacent the cut portions of the two webs to be joined.

An example includes a method for forming tubular lengths of web material. The example can include winding a portion of web material in a tubular configuration such that opposite vertical ends of said linear portion overlap. There is described a labelling machine for applying labels onto articles, comprising a protective wall; one first labelling group which may move between an operative position in which it applies a plurality of labels onto corresponding articles, and a rest position; wall comprises at least one first opening which is at least partially engaged, in use, by first labelling group when it is set in operative position; first labelling group is arranged completely on a first side of wall as it is arranged in rest position, and is arranged at least partially on a second side, opposite to first side, of wall when it is arranged in operative position; wall comprises at least one first panel which may be moved between a closed position in which it covers opening, and an open position in which it leaves free opening; labelling machine comprises connecting means for connecting first panel to first labelling group at least when first labelling group moves, in use, between rest position and an intermediate position, which is arranged between operative and rest positions; the movement of first labelling group between intermediate position and rest position causing, in use, the movement of first panel between open and closed position.

Protection system for container treatment machines

There is described a labeling machine for dispensing labels derivable from a web travelling along a feed path and applying them to articles travelling along an article path. The machine includes a web supply reel; a dispenser to unwind the web off the supply reel and for feeding the web towards an affixing station of the labeling machine, at which the labels are sequentially applied to the articles sequentially arriving thereat. The dispenser including a driver to control the advancement along the feed path of the web from which labels are derivable in accordance with the advancement along the article path of the articles to which the labels are to be applied; and a web tension control selectively actuatable to exert on the supply reel a torque directed against the unwinding sense of the web.
