Provided are adaptive wearable devices that measure physiological conditions, methods of operating the device, and computer programs for use with the device. The adaptive wearable device provides improved reliability in data due to the adaptive structure and can be made waterproof with the incorporation of a polymer material. In the context of a wearable device, an apparatus is provided that includes a support structure configured to at least partially enclose the torso or an appendage of a user, a spring module disposed on the support structure, a first section of flexible circuitry disposed on the spring module and a first sensor disposed on the spring module and configured to monitor the user.

Adaptive wearable device for physiological measurements and methods using the same

A user wearable apparatus including an optical sensor structure configured to optically monitor an area of a body of a user wearing the apparatus to monitor a physiological property of the user. A movement of at least one part of the optical sensor structure is caused to change the monitored area of the body of the user and to determine a desired monitoring area, and thereafter the monitoring of the physiological property of the user is maintained at the determined desired monitoring area.

A method, apparatus and computer program, in which a body of a wearable apparatus is maintained maintaining by a link in place at a given part of skin of the user. A sensor platform is movably supported sandwiched between the body and the skin and supported by the body movably with relation to the body towards and away of the skin, when the apparatus is worn by the user. Apparatus with elastically transformable body

An apparatus including an elongated apparatus structure configured to fit around a body part of a user and an actuator configured to change shape of the elongated apparatus structure.
