Device for balancing the charge of the elements of a power battery

An electrical power supply system has electrical energy storage modules and an interconnection interface. Each module includes connection terminals of opposite polarities and an energy storage element connected between them. The interface includes pairs of input terminals and output terminals for a load's power supply. Each pair of input terminals connects removably to connection terminals of a respective storage module. The interface forms parallel branches between the two output terminals. Each includes a storage element. Each branch includes a rheostat in series with a corresponding storage element of the branch. The interface includes a device for measuring current passing through each of the branches, and a control circuit for controlling resistances of the rheostats of the branches as a function of the measured current so as to maintain a current intensity passing through the rheostats to be below a threshold.

An automotive vehicle drive unit, comprising a fuel cell whose control input is a setpoint of the electrical power to be delivered by the fuel cell. There is a reversible electrical energy storage system and an electric motor to propel the wheels of a vehicle. An electrical connection element selectively connects the fuel cell and/or the energy storage system to the electric motor. A control circuit stores a model of the consumption of dihydrogen as a function of the power delivered by this fuel cell, in the form of a second-degree polynomial and is configured to compute a coefficient of power distribution &#x3bb;between the fuel cell and the electrical energy storage system pursuant to a defined equation. The control circuit controls the electrical connection element to recharge the energy storage system when the value of the power setpoint Pfc* is greater than the power demanded by the electric motor.

A battery for powering an electrical motor drive of a motor vehicle includes electrochemical accumulators included in an adiabatic enclosure and included in a tightly-sealed enclosure. A charge balancing system for a power battery includes a number of modules connected in series, each having two accumulator stages, each having an accumulator and isolated parallel converters connected to associated accumulator stages and to a low-voltage power system for supplying auxiliaries of an automobile. The converters have first unidirectional converters, each connected across terminals of a module and to the supply system, and second unidirectional converters each connected to the supply system and across the terminals of the accumulator stages, and a control unit for the first and second unidirectional converters. The control unit is configured for controlling a first converter to bring the modules to a similar charge level, for controlling a energy transfer from the battery to the supply system via the first converters, and for controlling a second converter to bring the associated accumulator stages of a module to a similar charge level.

Charge balancing system for batteries

The invention relates to a hydraulic control arrangement for supplying a pressure medium to at least one consumer. The forward line and/or the return line of the consumer comprises a distributing valve that can be continuously controlled and that has two switch positions, and a lowering brake valve that can be placed in an open position due to the pressure in the supply line. The distributing valve is in an open neutral position and can be displaced, electrically or electrohydraulically, from said neutral position into the direction of the second switch position thereof.

The invention discloses a valve arrangement for supplying pressure medium to a hydraulic load () having a directional valve (), which has an inflow measuring diaphragm () and a directional part () flowing in the flow direction. The directional valve is associated with an individual pressure scale (). In a return from the load, a load-lowering valve () is provided, to which a pilot pressure is applied in the opening direction. According to the invention, said pilot pressure is tapped in channel between the pressure scale and the directional part.

The invention relates to a hydraulic control arrangement and to a method for controlling a hydraulic consumer that comprises a pressure chamber on the input side and on the return side, said pressure chamber being connected to an adjusting pump or a tank via a valve device. The valve device is controlled by means of a control unit via which it can be adjusted in a regeneration mode, in which both pressure chambers are connected to the adjusting pump. According to the invention, the adjusting pump is pressure controlled, whereby in the regeneration mode, it is automatically switched to the normal operation in which the supply side of the pressure chamber is connected to the adjusting pump and the return side of the pressure chamber is connected to the tank when the pumping rate falls below the demand for the pressure medium.

An LIFD valve assembly has a pressure balance device a pressure balance slide of which is urged in the opening direction by a pressure downstream of a metering aperture and in the closing direction by a control pressure preferably corresponding to the highest load pressure of a plurality of consumers, and a load pressure downstream of the metering aperture is reportable to a line via the pressure balance device, and a load-maintaining device that can be put in a closing position, in which position a pressure medium flow path from a consumer to the metering aperture is blocked. The pressure balance slide is embodied in divided fashion, with an upper part and a lower part, wherein the latter is guided on the upper part, and determines the pressure balance device throttle cross section with a pressure balance control edge and embodies a closing body of the load-maintaining device.
