Some embodiments are directed to a method of transmission from at least one transmit antenna to all or some of n reception antennas including at least one transmission step suitable for transmitting a first binary information item by using the absence of focusing from the transmit antenna to any one of the n reception antennas, during a predetermined integer number k of symbol times and/or a modulation of the power transmitted by at least one transmit antenna, participating in a coding of a second binary information item. Some other embodiments are directed to a receiver-decoder suitable for reception according to the method.

Spatial modulation method and receiver device therefor

A method of transmitting a multi-carrier source signal, including symbols constituted by reserved carriers and data carriers. The method includes generating an additional signal that reduces peak-to-average power ratio of the signal to be transmitted. For each symbol, the method obtains M time samples representing the symbols and/or at least one iteration of: detecting P time samples from among P time samples representing the symbol, the P samples being the P samples of the highest amplitude among the M samples, or the P samples presenting a power value above a threshold; in the frequency domain, activating a reserved carrier, by addition of a pre-determined power to the reserved carrier; and for each activated reserved carrier: obtaining M time samples representing the activated reserved carrier, and applying a phase shift, taking account of the P detected samples, to the M time samples representing the activated reserved carrier.

Peak-to-average power ratio reduction in a multi-carrier signal

The invention relates to a multiantenna radio communications method wherein frequency subbands B, for k=1, . . . , P, are allocated respectively to P user antennas s, . . . , sbelonging to one or more users, from within a total frequency bandwidth B, and wherein at least one of the user antennas communicates with the base station over its respective frequency subband Bby means of a signal that has been filtered by time reversal. According to the invention, for at least one pair of user antennas Sand S, where and i,j=1, . . . , P and i&#x2260;j, the respective frequency subbands Band Boverlap by &#x3b4;B, said overlap &#x3b4;Bbeing a predetermined function of the correlation between the respective propagation channels of these two user antennas with said base station.

Radio communication method and device for multiple user antennas

A method and apparatus are provided for reducing a channel length. The method implements a channel-length reduction filter that takes into account a pulse response of the channel. The method includes the following steps: cutting the filter into at least one first and one second portion; optimizing said first portion of the filter according to a first criterion in order to output a first set of filtering coefficients; reducing the length of the channel by optimizing said second portion of the filter according to a second criterion different from the first one and based on the first set of filtering coefficients of said first portion of the filter in order to output a second set of filtering coefficients.
