The tire () comprises a crown (), two sidewalls (A,B), two beads (A,B), an inner surface () delimiting a toroidal cavity (), and a stiffening structure () comprising a stiffening element () extending continuously into the toroidal cavity () from at least one of the sidewalls (A,B) or one of the beads (A,B) to the crown (). The stiffening element () is anchored in or around: a radially inner reinforcing structure (A,B) arranged in the sidewall (A,B) and/or the bead (A,B), the radially inner reinforcing structure (A,B) being distinct from the circumferential reinforcing element (A,B) situated on the same side of the median plane (M) of the tire () as the sidewall (A,B) and/or the bead (A,B), and a radially outer reinforcing structure (A,B) arranged in the crown ().

A tire () includes a stiffening structure () comprising stiffening elements () anchored in the crown () and extending into the toroidal cavity () between a radially inner anchor point (A,B) and a radially outer anchor point (A,B). The tread () has a profile height and comprises a plurality of ribs (), two adjacent ribs being axially separated from each other by a main circumferential cut-out () having a depth greater than or equal to 50% of the profile height. The radially outer anchor point (A,B) is aligned with one of the ribs ().

The aspects disclosed herein relate to a tread for a tire including at least one block of rubbery material of width W and length L with L&#xbb;W. This block extends in a circumferential direction (X) when the tread is mounted on the tire, the block including a contact surface intended to come into contact with the ground and a first lateral wall and a second lateral wall delimiting this contact surface. The block further includes a plurality of sipes opening onto the contact surface of the block, with each sipe extending over the contact surface in an oblique direction opening onto the first lateral wall and onto the second lateral wall, the sipes of the block being oriented in the same direction. The sipes are distributed over the contact surface of the block in such a way that when one sipe reaches the second lateral wall another sipe starts out from the first lateral wall at the same circumferential level (N) on the block, and each sipe includes at least two parts.

Disclosed herein is a tread for a tire. The tread includes at least one elongate block of rubbery material of width W and length L with L&#x3e;&#x3e;W. This elongate block extends in a circumferential direction (X) when the tread is mounted on the tire. The elongate block includes a contact surface intended to come into contact with the ground and a first lateral wall and a second lateral wall delimiting this contact surface. The elongate block includes a plurality of sipes opening onto the contact surface of the elongate block, with each sine extending in an oblique direction opening onto the first lateral wall and onto the second lateral wall. The sipes are distributed over the contact surface of the block in such a way that when one sipe reaches the second lateral wall another sipe starts out from the first lateral wall, at a same circumferential level (N) on the elongate block. With the sipes delimiting sub-blocks in the elongate block, at least two of these sub-blocks are configured differently in the tread.

A tread for a tire provided with a pattern comprising a plurality of main grooves formed on each half of the tread on each side of a median plane X-X', each of these main grooves, of mean width L, opening axially to the outside and extending axially inward as far as a distance from the median plane X-X&#x2032; that is comprised between 2.5 and 10% of the width TW of the tread, these main grooves giving this tread a preferred direction of running, this tread further comprising a plurality of additional grooves comprising a first and a second end, the mean direction connecting the first and second ends forming, with the circumferential direction, a small angle A greater than zero degrees and at most equal to 20 degrees, this tread being characterized in that opening onto each main groove is at least one additional groove and in that the axially innermost end of each additional groove comes into contact with the road surface before the axially outermost end of the same additional groove.
