A piloting assistance system for an aircraft includes a measuring module for measuring a vertical manoeuvre of the aircraft, a computational module for computing a first load factor from the measured vertical manoeuvre and from a setpoint vertical manoeuvre, a measuring module for measuring an inclination angle, a pitch rate and a pitch acceleration, a protection module including a computational submodule configured to compute a second load factor and a comparison submodule in order to compare the first and the second load factor in order to determine an applicable load factor equal to the minimum between the first and the second load factor, a computational module configured to compute elevator control from the applicable load factor and a sending module configured to send the elevator control to the automatic pilot.

Piloting assistance method for an aircraft, making it possible to ensure the availability of an automatic pilot

A method for assisting in the piloting of an aircraft during a landing on a landing area on the ground. The method includes the following steps: (1) during a landing phase, while the landing area on the ground is visible from the aircraft: displaying, on a screen of the cockpit of the aircraft, a target corresponding to this landing, overlaid on a view outside the aircraft; receiving from a pilot a command to modify this target and displaying the duly modified target; and receiving a command to validate a value of the target by a pilot; (2) automatically determining an aircraft flight trajectory as a function of the aircraft's current position and of the value of the target validated by the pilot and storing this trajectory; and (3) guiding the aircraft along the stored trajectory. Also a piloting assistance system suitable for implementing this method is disclosed.

A flight control system includes at least one flight domain protection module intended at least for manual piloting and an auxiliary element configured to automatically transmit to the protection module, upon a detection of automatic piloting of the aircraft using an automatic piloting device, a predetermined auxiliary position, representing a control stick position equivalent, the protection module using the auxiliary position as a control stick position to implement a flight domain protection during the automatic piloting.
